10/10 for this mug. I bought it specially as I was looking for a mug that would keep my hot drinks hot for longer AND to use with my mug-warmer. The lid works well and does the job of extending the warmth!

EDIT 2021.08.18 - following posting this review I contacted Tealya and explained the fault, Whilst the mug was 6 days out of the 12 month warranty they still refunded the original purchase price in full.IMHO for all it's features (and despite it's fault) it is the best mug on Amazon. So I bought yet another, in the hope it will last longer than one year.I have bought two of these mugs. The first purchase was in April 2020. In August 2020 I noticed a hairline crack around upper part of the lower joint of the handle. I wondered If I had caused it (although I wasn't aware of mistreating, and handwash, don't use a dishwasher). Anyway I gave the product the benefit of the doubt, and purchased another in August 2020. Sadly now in August 2021, I find the new mug has a fracture in the lower joint of the handle.To highlight the hard to see fracture in the photograph I rubbed a little talcum powder into crack. The fracture will only get worse, and one day I will end up with it breaking completely and have a mug full of hot tea/coffee spilt all over me or the carpet/furniture.Only now have I read other customer's reviews and see several others have experienced the same fault.I really hope the manufacturers heed these reviews and makes a mug with a better quality handle joint,because the mug is very good in every other respect, particularly for capacity and stability.I'm very apprehensive about buying any more of these mugs.

Practical

The metal infuser is long enough for the hot water to soak up the loose leaf, even if you decide to fill the mug half way.

We bought this to replace my husband's old favourite tea mug which was quite cheap and constantly staining. This one is the tea mug to beat all tea mugs. It has its own infuser and a lid and when you remove the infuser it fits cleverly in the upturned lid, avoiding pesky drips on your worktop. The mug has a good thick glaze to it and cleans easily. It is strong and quite hefty. You could do someone some damage with it if you were that way inclined. It holds considerably more than the average tea mug and can even hold coffee at a push. The best thing though is that it is orange, hubby's favourite colour.

I bought this cup because my workplace requires that all cups in the office have a lid. I dislike drinking out of plastic or metal and would prefer to avoid it for the lid too, so this cup seemed ideal. In addition I enjoy making loose leaf teas, primarily green and oolong.The cup is a nice size and the strainer has fine holes ideal for making all kinds of loose tea without getting bits in the bottom of your cup. The lid makes a bit of a farce of my workplace's policy because if someone did knock your cup then its probably going to spill, but to be quite honest I'm not really so worried about that anyway. I must admit I wouldn't use the lid at all if I was at home.I've just taken one star off because after a couple of weeks of use there are slight marks on the rim of the cup, just wear and tear from using the lid I guess.Love that these come in a range of colours. I went with red.

This does a good job at making leaf tea, but the mug is way too big for me! I have taken to using the infuser and lid on one of my own, normal sized mugs. It would have been a lot cheaper had I just bought the infuser separately, but you live and learn!
