Respectable Budget Isolation Frame
I admit, I didn't expect much from this microphone isolation frame, but it has proven me wrong.I already have two professional sound-damping frames from different manufacturers, but needed a third for special occasions. This frame is almost their equal. The foam is a relatively dense spike pattern with a respectable 3/4" minimum thickness and it does a good job limiting reflected sound and a respectable one limiting pass thru noise. The mic mounts on most entry level equipment are thin metal garbage, but this one is solid metal, is well mounted to the frame, and attaches firmly to a mic stand. The only drawback to this system is for those who might want to have it sit directly on a desktop. There is no extension to raise the mic or a shock mount up enough to attach the average XLR cable (in the photo, note that the mic has to sit too high in the shock-mount and the cable is still bent hard on the desktop). There can be workarounds, but it is disappointing that they would not be obvious to a new user. The only obvious difference in my tests (other than width & height) is that the LZSIG is made of a hard plastic instead of metal and its pass-thru grid is understandably a bit more coarse. This frame actually folds up for storage or transport smaller than either of my metal frames (though they deploy wider and taller).(Note: mic, shock mount, and cord are NOT included in the product)I can easily recommend this mic isolation frame to anyone, but especially those who have do not have one and are looking for a respectable entry level frame that can serve them well for a long time.

Great additional shield!
So I have a tall microphone stand and shield kit. I saw this and thought it would be a nice addition! The shield is made of pretty decent quality. It's foldable & doesn't take up much space. You can use it on your desk / table, or on an actual microphone stand. Either way, if you have a studio, this will come in handy to block out all of the unwanted sounds.

Not tall enough
The height of this is a bit problematic. if you are podcaster that sits perfectly still, no issues...but for a standing singer, too much of the voice spills over the top and bottom. The connector for a stand is pretty awkward, and the mic-holder that include is completely useless. This is a case of spend more on a better one and be happier in the end.

Good Quality, Multiple Applications
This is a nice isolation shield, it offers me additional ways to shape the sound in my home studio. I'm using this mostly as a rear isolation shield as the wall in front of me is already treated, it has helped a great deal with bounce back sound, very easy to adjust and shape to my needs. The shield itself is good quality, 5 sturdy plastic panels with 1 inch foam attached, comes with mic holder and mic stand adapter, easy to mount and adjust. Overall very happy with the quality and ability to adjust it to my needs and can definitely recommend it.

Works well, but watch your fingers!
This microphone isolation shield seems to work well, but be careful with it. When I unboxed it, I got a nasty pinch on one of my fingers from the folding panels. Then when I was setting it up, I got pinched again even though I was mindful of the situation.Once I got it set up on my mic stand, it seemed to work very well for isolating the microphone during recording. It seems to make the stand a bit top-heavy, so you will want to make sure your mic stand has a good heavy and stable base if you want to add this to it.
