Awesome Shocks at an Awesome Price!
They're Rancho RS5000X Gas Shocks - what more can I say ;-) Anyways, they fit like they should, work great for my Wrangler JK, and look good to boot!

easy install
These were advertised as fitting up to a 2 in lift. I'm ashamed to admit I don't know whether my Jeep is lifted. (I bought it used and haven't really looked.) I was also concerned by some reviews complaining of poor fit and difficulty installing, especially the front passenger side. But overall, the reviews were good enough that I decided to order them. First problem was I only received the front shocks. A query to Amazon confirmed the rear shocks were coming separately. Extremely quick response from the company there! (As an aside, the Haynes and Chilton manuals are virtually useless for Jeeps. They almost never match what's on my Jeep, and I've had two. That was the case here; the shocks indicated in the manual were not the shocks on my jeep.) Anyway, the shaft on the front shocks is visibly thicker (therefore should be stronger) than the old shocks. They fit perfectly. On the front shocks, there is very little clearance between the top pf the shaft and the wheel well. I installed the left one first and connected the bottom first. I then had to compress the shaft in order to get clearance to put on the upper bushing. I installed the right shock upper end first, which made it much easier to get the bushing, et cetera on. Overall very pleased.

Check hardware
Bought these thinking they were made in America. They are made in china. Only received hardware for one front shock. I will not be buying rancho again.

These live up to their name!Easy switch, changed out my rough country after 60k miles on them, and switched the shocks and stabilizer! Excellent product and fast shipment
