Ok so small would not be proper term. Smurfs couldn't use these things. Maybe if you have very small house plants it works. I disagree good for kids because they are barely larger than a spoon. Metal is black powdercoated and from China. Don't think I trust it at all but that just me. The wood handles are nice I have to admit.

too tiny to be useful
too small even for children and very flimsy. might be helpful for indoor gardening or setting up seed trays but these are truly a very miniature affair so they are going back.
