works great
First lets clear up the "plastic" swivel loops. The carabineer is made out of metal and has an injection molded plastic case around it. This makes the hooks better than those cheap plastic-dipped ones. I've ordered one set of these, and a set of the pro-taper. I haven't even opened the pro taper set because I like the Matrix Concepts. I put 120 highway miles on the straps so far and no frays, they look brand new. The loose end of the strap has a loop end which helps sinch down the bike. I have no idea what the slider name plate is supposed to do, and can't see anyway that tucks away excess strap. If anything it helps prevent the taught part of the strap from buzzing in the wind. I would definitely recommend buying these.

Best tie-downs made!
I have always used Matrix concepts tie-downs and must say they continue to impress me. They have amazing quality as well as unique design patterns. I use these for motocross (securing a dirtbike in the back of my truck) and wouldn't use anything else. I have tried many other sets of tie downs but ever since switching to these I never looked back. I have had regular tie downs slip and loose grip but never with the matrix. These are the only way to go. Can't beat Amazon's pricing. Give it a try once and you will understand.

Junk
I got 2 sets of these thinking they were going to be awesome, turns out they're totally not.-Firstly , the swivel loops are made out of plastic... yes PLASTIC! I wasn't expecting this because all the pictures you see everywhere show a metal loop. Sure it could work but why? I decided to give it a try anything and found the plastic makes the locking clips stick open , and also easily gets chewed up by the mounting point.-Secondly , the straps do not stay lined up in the buckles as soon as you get any tension on them , this causes the sides of the straps to fold into the buckle , and rub causing them to fray on the first use!-Finally, non-existent customer service. I emailed matrix per their website with a few simple questions regarding me issues and they didn't respond. In my experience I would rate these straps well below any cheap hardware store strap. They look good but are functionally worthless and will not last very long. Considering the price I expect a lot more.Save your time and money and go with something else.

Money well spent
I’ve used these tie downs for a long time. Do well over time and are tough. Don’t fall in love with the color because it fades fairy quick.

Would buy again
Used for about 2 weeks before writing review. I really like these tie-downs, very sturdy and the swivel on the floor end keeps the straps from twisting and binding. There are no plastic mechanical parts on these straps so very sturdy and quality product. Don't know what other review I read was talking about having plastic buckles. These look great too
