Samsung E1270 Mobile Phone - Black

Bought this as a phone to use overseas.I love the colour and how small and slim it is. I was almost tempted to keep it and get rid of my iphone! I was surprised at how easy it is to use but decided that it is not as practical as a touch screen of course. Just loved using it. Battery lasts for days too.

Really good and radio was a nice surprise, just a good simple backup phone for a different network, very good battery, just wish I could work out how to transfer contacts

Excellent simple to use phone with long battery life. The flip cover makes sure that it doesn't make accidental calls.

I've long had a thing for flip phones and this is just what I wanted. It's light and slim (especially if you have a modern smartphone as I do), it fits in my pocket easily too. Great as a second phone for nights out or emergencies, or when you don't want to lose your expensive smartphone. The phone itself is basic, the only game on it is Sudoku plus a converter (for measurements etc), read only calendar and fm radio (you need a pair of headphones for this to work - standard 3.5mm jack plug). A choice of ringtones (pre defined) two colours and backgrounds for the display completes the picture. Makes you remember what phones used to be for - talking to people!

This phone is very limited. Whilst the battery can last for a week on one charge it's still extraordinarily limited. But, for its price, well, it could be worse.When closed it's a small phone, more like a pebble than anything else. Samsung has also gone out of their way to tell you that this is made by them by putting not one, not two, but three logos on the phone. However, these logos don't make it any less slippery. The glossy finish means that it'll slide out of your pocket easily. However, on the bright side the charging port is hidden by a little latch, making the phone look sleek. The back is very easy to remove as well as the battery, meaning if you drop it you'll be picking up the pieces.The bottom twelve buttons do light up, and if you learn them they're easy to use. You'll have to learn the top ones, however, as they don't light up. They're also quite noisy, so not exactly ideal for texting in class (even though most students these days have smartphones without physical keyboards).The screen, whilst incredibly low resolution, is passable for its rank.Now for the limitations. It has no expandable storage. It has a headphone jack, but no music. It has Sudoku as the only game, and it's a terrible version that'll make you eyes wish for better colours. It's barely customisable.It's a cheap phone and that's about it. I'd only recommend this to people with no other choice and an old SIM card as it doesn't take micro or nano. Whilst it does have some useful features such as currency conversion, unit conversion and some other things you would be better off buying the Nokia 130 which has expandable storage and a fun version of Snake.

If you do not need or want a smartphone, then you will not be disappointed. Clear screen, easy to use keypad and battery does not need constant recharging.

I do not need an all-singing, all-dancing mobile phone. I just need something compact which I can take anywhere to use if I need to. This fits the bill. I have dropped mine twice and it comes apart when this happens. Not to be recommended! Each time it was easily fixed. For those who just need to be able to contact when necessary, this is ideal.
