great jacket for the autumn and winter months
Great jacket, very warm, even with the quilted liner removed. Pockets are roomy and positioned well. The sleeves are a tad wide at the cuff but can be adjusted. But as most others will mention order a size smaller than you normally would as these are made large. I ordered a small and the length of the jacket and arms were longer than i expected and I returned it for the extra small which is a far better fit.The jacket has drawstring about midway that allows for it to be tightened around mid chest area and another at the waist to tighten the bottom. This allows the jacket to be adjusted and gives it a better fitted look when worn. There is a hood concealed in the collar, and while thin should give adequate protection if caught in the rain. The jackets zipper is sturdy and chunky so should last without any mechanical failure or broken teeth hopefully. Only gripe is the zipper does not math the colour of the jacket as shown in all the photographs, but is intead brass coloured, and quite bright and shiny. Though hopefully it will dull with use.I recommend this if your looking for a sturdy and practical jacket that should be suitable for autumn or winter weather.

Very poor
I don't know how so many buyers could recommend this product. It felt like it would be warm but...It doesn't look like military style at all in my opinion. It's more of a coat, like you would find in local supermarkets for £20. The zipper is gold and was very sticky. The sleeves are very wide. I looked at the picture again on Amazon to make sure that I had received the correct product! It looks as if the model in the poor product pictures was holding the extremely flappy sleeves in so it wouldn't be as obvious just how big these sleeves are. It looked ridiculous. My wifes laughing was only drowned out by my own!I wouldn't wear this coat for free.Delivered 18:26, return label printed out a few minutes later.

What’s all the moaning about..?
Fair bit of whinging on here about this coat, so I watched the tracking ‘blip’ with a bit of apprehension, but when it got here and I tried it on I was a bit puzzled. According to the sizing chart, the ‘medium’ size upper limit is 40”. I’m a 40” chest and it fits perfectly over a tee shirt and a thin jumper. So unless there’s a wildly fluctuating consistency in the manufacturing, the sizing is correct. Perhaps those complaining of poor fit are in the lower part of the chosen range, and are losing sight of the fact that it is actually a range...Yes, I agree that it’s a bit rough and ready, but it’s 35 quid... and, it is supposed to have the military surplus look...Several people are moaning about the sleeves being baggy... Well this is the pattern of the M65, and to be honest, I just don’t see what they’re on about. The looseness of the sleeve is part of the utility design. The extended cuff appears to be for covering the hands when the arms are held down, again, understandable for a military pattern in my opinion. The Velcro cuff tighteners might be a bit on the weak side, but they do pull quite snug on my skinny wrists, so job done...It does have a loose lining as well as the quilted removable one, the hood is minimal but again, fits the original pattern and is more for sluicing water away from the neck.As to how warm or water resistant it is, I’ll have to wait to find out, but it feels snug and bulky enough to be warm.If I must moan, the elastic drawstring in the bottom most hem is a bit redundant, too long (you have to tuck it away or you’ll lasso everything you brush past), and because there are no solid eyelets on the hem ends, all but the bulkiest of stop knots will pull through. With this in mind, mine’s already consigned to the bin.All in all, it’s at least worth the money. If it lasts me one winter I’ll have had 35 quid out of it. Four stars.

Good for the money, but order carefully regarding sizeing
For the money it's not bad quality. Bought this jacket and ticked the size going off the chart that the seller gave. The jacket is probably 'one' size up from what I really need, however as I plan to wear this when I ride my bike I can still get a thicker jumper under it when it's cold and still be comfortable so it's not really a big deal. Fits okay around the shoulders but the sleeves are a little too long for me personally and would have liked the inner body warmer that comes with it to be a little thicker for the colder weather moments. Would I buy another one?... Yes,only I'd go 'down' one size to get a better fit if I'm not using it when on the bike.

wouldn't recommend at that price
Appalling quality, flimsy zipper and some seams not stitched on the pockets. Very unhappy, wouldn't recommend at that price, returning.I have since found a Brandit M65 jacket which is almost identical except the quality is much better.

but ridiculously loose on the arms - not providing the kind of robust and comfortable quality I was hoping for
This is a weird one - I bought this jacket a while ago, and because of its size and fit, I've honestly barely worn it.It had a very cheap polymer feel - not the kind of tough, hard-wearing nylon outer that I anticipated. Additionally, the fit was VERY strange. It was tight around the chest, but ridiculously loose on the arms - not providing the kind of robust and comfortable quality I was hoping for. The sleeves have some kind of large protrusion that completely covered my hands - despite the shoulders being too tight for my size.I'm sure the ridiculous cuffs on the sleeves serve some kind of a purpose - but you'll notice that in the main photograph they're covered. It's because they're frankly ludicrous. Again, I'm sure they serve some kind of a purpose - if this is really military surplus...All in all, I was not satisfied with this product or the money I spent on it.

Great Jacket
Great Jacket. Very long sleeves which isn't a bad thing really. Sizes are generous. If you are tall (like me) you might find the body length feels a tad short. Tested it on a longish walk on a cold day. I had to remove the liner as I was too hot. Breathes way better than man made fibres. Haven't tried it in the rain yet, I suspect it's not waterproof but, I use a poncho in heavy rain anyway.
