Sand-busted

Barely useable
You can only use upright. As soon as you lay it down or quit the sand pours out of it. There needs to be an automatic gate valve inside. There is a manual sand valve at least that you can fiddle with when done - not during use except to regulate flow.

Works with limitations
The media could not be loaded. It works but does have its' limitations.You have to use only the finest grit material.It is a bit slow.No real flow control.And yes mine also seems to have an air leak by the trigger, very small, but leaksNo it is not for any serious heavy duty projects.But considering how inexpensive it is, if you know the limitations, but feel it would still do the job you need it is a pretty good deal at the current price.

Well Sam gets everywhere but this is a very nice tool. Value for the money, quality is outstanding. Performance lift nothing to be desired for the cost!

OK for lightweight, hobby use
This style of sandblasting gun will never replace an industrial blaster or blasting cabinet. It isn't intended to. It is meant to be small, portable, and easy to use. I think I've got my expectations in check of what this style should be capable of. This gun is OK. It is lightweight, easy to setup, and simple to use. The flow control on this didn't work well - I had to twist it back and forth (on and off) to get the sand to flow again several times. I wasn't impressed with the amount of material it was removing but then I realized my compressor had tripped and I only had about 20 psi. So I tried it again with the compressor around 80 psi and the results weren't that much better. This was trying to remove rust from an old gas tank. It struggled with some of the deeper rust but did pretty good at removing some of the lighter, surface corrosion. This setup should work OK on lighter duty items.
