Must own Artist
This album is a good album but not the best for them, still a must have in the de la soul collection.

Good Album
Solid album, maybe not as good as "De La Soul Is Dead" though. "Breakadawn" is the best track in my opinion. The rest is still very good overall.

Perfectly obscure
Just dug this out after too long. This is probably my favourite De La Soul album, now that I've grown up. I play 3 feet when the kids are about and of course they love it but this is just an absolute gem. It hasn't aged at all probably due to the jazz samples that pervade the mix. The soul within the songs, alongside the usual bufoonery (or should that be buhloonery?), is really touching. There's a real sense that they were on a very philosophical journey with this album but it doesn't feel introverted, there are still beats so phat they need a crane to get them out the house. Even the more, spiritually lightweight tracks make perfect sense and this album continues to pull you in. It feels sparse without ever feeling empty. Genius

The best De La album by far.
I can't believe how slept on this LP is. Not only is it by far the best LP De La Soul ever dropped, it's easily in my top 10 hip hop records of all time! With the execption of the closing track, everything here is pure dope. The great Maceo Parker appears on 'I Be Blowin' with a beautiful horn arrangement layed over a jazzy beat. Guru pops up on 'Patti Dooke'. Michael Jackson meets Smokey Robinson and the Pointer Sisters on the classic 'Breakadawn'. 'In The Woods', 'Ego Trippin', hell it's all beautiful.Cop this LP right now!
