Awesome
Came in the post next day with Super Saver delivery, Very good condition and brought it used, Great game, Only let down is you need the CD to play, You can't play without it, The game boots off the CD and all music and textures are stored on it, But apart from that all is good!

Amazing platform game with bonus content and so much to do, a great game for anyone, Sonic fan or not!
This is the first Sonic game in the new generation of 3D sonic games and I'd recommend it to anyone who would like to try a platform game especially because of how much there is in this game to enjoy. First to the installation. Installing shouldn't take too long but while waiting there is an introduction on your computer to the different characters and a small snapshot picture to get you into the game. The game DOES require a disc in the drive to play, but then again so do many games.HIDDEN EXTRAS:Before talking about the game I have to alert people to the bonus extras. When playing this game you will be playing with disc 2 in the drive, BUT if you put disc 1 in the drive and wait for the launcher to load (not go to shortcut) you will have the chance to install extras. These are some sonic themed wallpapers for your desktop and some cursors of the various characters in the game.I'd also like to add that this game allows you to select a pretty high resolution so you can really see smooth lines, and the picture and sound quality IS better than that found in the 'dreamcast collection' version of this game.THE GAME:The game itself is very detailed. I won't spoil the actual storyline but will say that you don't need any manual to play this game as the game itself will tell you the various moves each character can do, and the first level of any character is pretty easy to help you master their moves. Rather than traditional side scrolling sonic action, you press your arrow keys or thumb stick in the direction you want to go in and the game will soon refocus the camera. It's very easy to pick up. The music in this game is great too and some seasoned fans of retro sonic games may recognise a few favourites with a great modern beat. The great thing about this sonic game is the adventure fields. Between levels you can explore the area called an adventure field. You can talk to plenty of people who are walking or standing around on the street and I'd recommend talking to them between levels as what they say changes as the game progresses and you might miss some funny mini stories. In the adventure field you also have the chance to enter a chao garden. Chao are these cute baby like creatures that have become a staple of sonic games and you have the chance to raise them from eggs and grow them into champion racers. Don't be turned off thinking this is just for girls...You'll need to raise excellent racers in order to collect all the emblems at the end.The game gives you the choice of playing as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Big the Cat and E102 Gamma. You start off as sonic but once you meet a certain character you can switch and play that characters story instead. The characters all eventually cross paths so you can unlock the others by playing anyone. It's actually a good thing if you are stuck on a certain level. I was sometimes stuck on one of Sonic's levels so rather than stay frustrated I switched to Knuckles' story. You have to complete all the characters stories to unlock a final story at the end. There are so many stories and the adventure fields really add to the game play that I found myself playing this game for a very long time. Weeks before I finished it and months before I unlocked everything else. The story line itself is also very strong and well written, something that seems to be being lost in newer sonic games. Now, the directors cut/ DX means that once you complete a character's story you can play missions with that character. Mission mode gets you to run around the adventure fields finding missions and then attempting them, such as collecting all the flags in a certain level, popping all the balloons on a field. The missions really are varied and some are much tougher than others (even tough to find) that this game will keep you coming back again and again.Every 20 emblems you collect will also unlock a sega game gear game that you can play if you are done with adventure mode and want some light relief. These games have no save feature though, but still fun...I like sonic drift!I haven't experienced a single glitch in this game which is rare for so many modern games and all of the missions can be completed, including one that everyone gets stuck on: doing three jumps in the icecap zone...It is possible just need luck and keep trying! You also unlock something else when you've collected all the emblems and I will also say to anyone who's completed the chao races to go back and race the chao again. There's a particular grey chao that just won't go away. All in all I can't fault this game, not just for my biased opinion (I love Sonic) but also for the sheer amount of game you get and how much replay value it has. I'd recommend it for anyone, sonic fan or not, and it does work on vista too!
