Miki Blacksmith has a history of about 400 years and fully utilizes the long-standing traditional handmade techniques of a blacksmith and state-of-the-art technology for advance tools and high-quality materials. Miki Blacksmith is a product that comes with safety, trustworthiness and our pride. The Bessho Clan governing the Miki Domain during the Era of Provincial Wars engaged in armed conflict with Hideyoshi Hashiba’s large army. It was the famous “Miki Gassen” [the Battle of Miki] that lasted almost two years. Led by a great commander, the Miki Castle was an impregnable fortress. Hideyoshi devised a clever scheme of starvation tactics. The food supply was cut off, and the castle soldiers and the citizens started to suffer from agonizing hunger. Lord Nagaharu Bessho offered his life in exchange for the clemency of the castle soldiers and the safety of the citizens. He and his family killed themselves and the castle was surrendered. Hideyoshi Hashiba was greatly moved by Lord Nagaharu’s last wishes. He not only freed the castle soldiers and the citizens, but also implemented helpful policies for the restoration of the region. Iron working was treated favorably. Blacksmiths were invited from outside the Domain. They were exempted from taxation. The region was restored remarkably, which became the foundation of future prosperity for the City of Miki.

they work for my purposes
Product is sharp. Does need tightened. Easy to do. used to cut stubborn brambles. Does 1/2 inch stuff easily. Not a ratchet product. Seems to be well made enough to last a few years.

It’s so light weight you can trim for hours and not get tired!
What I really liked about these Miki Black-hedge trimmers was that there lightweight, easy to use and very sharp! Great for small bamboo, shrubs, tall grass and much more... Cuts through vegetation like butter with minimal effort and keeps a sharp edge. I highly recommend this trimmer For it’s light weight and sharpness...
