Best Induction hob I’ve had
This is a great induction hob probably the best I’ve had, and I’ve had a few makes, I like all the different settings and ease of use, also I love the golden colour. I did have a very minor problem but their customer service, dealt with by Tom, was excellent, the problem was sorted in no time, very impressive, thank you Tom. I would highly recommend this hob.

there are pros & cons
Pros:It works well. The induction coil is about 19cm in diameter, bigger than other induction hobs of similar price range. It is very fast to heat up.It is really hot, hotter than other induction hobs I have tried at similar price range.Cons:- The temperature is given in Fahrenheit, not in Celsius.- The heat given in power too. I can’t really understand what it means. It does NOT correspond to the electrical power it is drawing from the mains. I did measure the power it is drawing from the mains. It is not even near the numbers given by the programs.- It has a few, in my opinion, very useless fixed programs, some of them given in Fahrenheit and some are given in power. Very confusing.Hot Pot: min 400w, max 2200w (the power is changeable in this program)Fry: min 60F max 260F (the heat is changeable in this program)Pot: 220W (fixed)Soup: 220W (fixed)Milk: 60F (fixed)Water: 2200W (fixed)Deep Warm: 60F (fixed)Fast Heat: 2400w (fixed)I have given it only 3 starts because of the temperature is given in Fahrenheit, and the use of temperature and power and because, unlike other hobs, it has many fixed programs that I will never use.Not recommended unless you need the extra power this hob can provide and if you don’t mind reading the temperature in Fahrenheit

Good portable induction hob
The media could not be loaded. This is a a good induction hob that does the job it's intended really well. You simply plug it in and it's ready to go, with multiple pre-set functions that do different timings, wattage and such, this is all explained in the little booklet it comes with, but I personally just used the Hot Pot which essentially gives you full control of the timer and Voltage. As with other induction hobs it will not supply power unless it detects a suitable pot on the hob which is nice and it was working just as well as my own kitchen hob, providing very quick heat directly into the pot giving a much more efficient cook. The touch buttons are very responsive and work well and the display is big and clear on what it's drawing.Portable wise, it's still a fairly sizable device as you would expect but definitely something I can see me chucking in the car to take on road trips on a cabin break. It doesn't come with any kind of carrier however. It all works well as far as I could tell, my only complaint is the device only shows Fahrenheit in the settings where it uses/shows temperature, no option for Celsius which is a very strange decision given it's being sold in the UK. That said do note that this is only really used in a couple of the functions, I personally never even see the temperature.Otherwise I think this is a neat and handy to have device and pretty good value for money.

Does the job
The media could not be loaded. This is a great induction hob, works well, and it’s good quality.I think it is perfect for someone who has just started out or lives on its own.I recommend though to have a window or a kitchen hood, so all the steam doesn’t ruin the kitchen. It has certain settings but it can even be used without selecting them.It is also easy to clean and it’s quite small, so doesn’t take too much space.I recommend it, it’s a great and good quality product.

Excellent plate. Worth getting over cheaper options.
So, the obvious first, the surface area of the plate is huge compared to most others. This is great for larger pans but especially good for woks because it heats up the sides better. Fantastic for cooking with a large flat-based wok. The fact the plate is raised is also a nice feature, you can easily tell if you've got the pan directly on the plate. The raised plate also stops the surrounding areas of the base unit from getting as hot as others might.I really like the retro aesthetic it has, almost looks like a turntable. The design is clean and even though there's a lot of icons on the unit they don't look too obvious or fussy. It's nice that you can turn off the noises it makes so it doesn't beep. Controlling the temperature is easy. It's super easy to clean once it's cooled down. After a lot of use there isn't a scratch on the unit at all so it's very durable. It has a 4 hour timer which is longer than most.Haven't noticed any hot spots on the plate so it shouldn't scorch small areas on your pans accidentally. This helps to stop your pans from getting ruined but it also allows the food to cook more evenly. I have another portable hob and the food in the middle always cooks faster than the food around the sides, you don't have that problem here. I suspect the raised plate helps with this because it isn't heating the pan through tempered glass like others do.It's a step up from most portable hobs in terms of quality and features. Recommended.

Ace Retro Hotplate
the hotplate's massive surface is perfect for big pans and especially woks. the raised bit is cool, keeping the base cooler. love the retro look, it’s neat without looking too busy. you can turn off the beeps and adjusting the temp is a breeze. super easy to clean and no scratches even after heavy use. the 4-hour timer is a bonus and it cooks evenly without scorching your pans. much better than other portable hobs out there. highly recommend!
