Q: Does this work on wool felt, like on a wool felt hat?

I wouldn’t use this paint. It’s very sheer, so you have to use several coats. But then they dry sticky, and the paint clings to itself and tears away. It’s pretty crappy fabric paint.

Q: Is it waterproof if I paint my jean jacket wanted to wash would it mess up the painting

I used the paint on a dish towel. It is a dotted outline design of a snowman with a couple different colors. I have washed it a few times and still looks good.

Q: can you thin this paint with water?

I have not tried thinning the paint myself and I looked on the packaging and it did not say anything about thinning the paint. However, the packaging indicates that cleanup is with "warm soapy water".
