Big and powerful.
It is much larger than my old one, but it heats much faster too. Like a cup will heat in 10 seconds. Looks like it is made for the jolly green giant.

Works Very efficiently and is very useful
I use this to heat water up for livestock during the winter time, and it works amazingly. As long as you keep the coils submerged and don't take them out while it is hot it will last you a very long time.

came promptly. Ordered as spare parts. Not installed.
Somewhat concerned with electrical safety. Best used with an electrical circuit with a ground fault device for safety sake of users. Any visible damage to device from use and it should not be used as a danger from electrocution might exist. ALWAYS be sure element is submerged in liquid before applying power.

Not safe!!!
Can be unsafe. This product is one of three of similar items I’ve used. This one was only used for about 3 weeks when it made a loud ‘crack’ and burned up. It’s a difficult item to expect a lot from. The electrical portion above the coils sits directly over the water as it heats. The heat and steam weaken and deform the box over time. The electrical bills peals open allowing more and more heat and steam to undermine it. It is designed to fail by using plastic parts where ceramic or metal would cost more but it would be safer. This is a fine tool in need of redesign. Fix the failure and I’d recommend it and buy another.

hot enough to melt the bucket used to heat the water
it does heat the water really hot, as a matter of fact it heats it so hot that it melts the bucket and causes the heater itself to catch things on fire.

very Nice
Power cord is short. If I plug it into a power strip on the floor, I have to stir my coffee 1 foot off the floor.Looks great and Works Awesome & Fast. No Temp control just heats fast so be care you can over heat pretty quick.BUT - Handle is holding two ROUND polished Heating tubes, so it Will never be a great grip. Design flaw not the sellers fault.Tubes going into the handle should be Flattened a bit or have something to Stabilize then for better Grip INSIDE the handle. Can feel the handle swivel when your are cleaning it so be careful.Otherwise I like it.

It works well if 1000 watts is sufficient.
This did the job of raising my washing machine water to 150 degrees to kill germs. Yes, it was slow because it only outputs 1000 watts which is not much heat.If you intend to heat even small pools this will take hours and you may lose heat faster than this can heat.If you want more heat you have to see what the circuit breaker will trip at and try to stay under that. If you have a 20 Amp breaker the max heater is 2000 watts.15 Amp = 1500 watts.

Works great
I bought one of these for an old tub to make an outdoor "hot tub". Took about 24 hours to heat it with just one unit, so I bought a second one and it only takes 6 hours (80 gallons). I hooked up a kill-a-watt and averaging $.11 kw/h it cost about $3 to heat it with one unit. So 2 heaters at 6 hours would only be $1.50. Temps varied from 105 to almost 108.
