RM Series Replacement Remote Control for Sony RMD10033

Simple to use, light and metallic buttons a great addition from my previous plastic ones.

I was getting increasingly frustrated by the failure of the original remote to respond to my delicate touch which was gradually becoming more violent!!! I only Googled the recorder remote as a last resort and sceptically ordered this replacement, thinking “£11 isn’t going to break the bank if it doesn’t work”. I was even more sceptic when it arrived wrapped in just a bit of bubble wrap with no paperwork at all. Well, it’s truly amazing! It worked perfectly as soon as I put the batteries in. The buttons are in different places but I’m learning fast. Impressed with the speed of delivery especially during the worsening pandemic and impending Christmas holiday. Thank you.

Once you have mastered where the various control buttons are as the layout is quite different to the original Sony remote it is an excellent piece of kit and good value at under a tenner

Having previously bought the manufacturers replacement which failed just like the original, I decided to buy the 3rd party replacement. My intial impressions are very good it works well and feels more positive than the original. Time will tell but as it is about a quarter of the price if it lasts more than 8 months it will represent better value than the original. The key layout is different to the original but all the functionality is there once you have learned the new layout.

I have purchased about six of these remote controls, they only work for a short time, the last one for four months. This one arrived a week ago & already isn't working, hopeless! Does anyone know where to get a decent replacement from, it's driving us mad!

Worked from the off... only issue is some of the buttons are different from the original, not a major issue.

Decided I needed a replacement remote after several months of spending half an hour trying to get the box to switch on (might be a bit of an exaggeration!), and this does the job perfectly. Worked straight away, so no fiddling about having to reprogram anything, which is a big bonus. Be aware though, this takes two AAA batteries rather than the two AA batteries that the original requires, so buy these in advance if you intend on using it immediately.
