very useful to read books
I love reading books on this. I like to have it read to me while I am driving. I have one vehicle that uses a cable to connect to the speakers and another vehicle that uses Bluetooth to connect. It works well with both. That way I can listen while traveling.

They hold a charge quite well but none of them seem to last more than 1-2 yrs unfortunately.
I bought the first and second paper Kindle when the came out and handed them down to others when I bought my first Kindle fire. It was funny - my (sadly now deceased husband) was kind of feeling me out about them - what I thought of them etc. Little did he know I had already ordered him one for Christmas. So I said it sounds good, some of the books I read have color pages and sometimes I enjoy a game too. So of course he got me one for Christmas as well. It's a nice memory too. My only complaint is that this is the second one I've had two buy - the first one died after two years of minimal use. Hope this lasts longer. I also bought a tablet - at the time I was in and out of the hospital constantly with lung problems = I hate trying to watch TV in the hospital with all the noise around, so I could get out my tablet or Kindle Fire and - with the table I actually watched a few movies (it does suck that so few movies in Amazon are offered for free viewing even with a membership, but buying or renting one per visit was really a lifesaver for me. The tablet died after 1 year - so I am NOT happy about their longevity. I rarely buy extended warranties and even with my second Kindle fire I didn't add one. These should last a hell of a lot longer than they seem to. I have an Alienware computer that was "bleeding edge" when I bought it 7 yrs ago and the only issue I've had was that I had to replace the keyboard last week. Same with every other computer product that we've purchased or built ourselves. There is no excuse for kindles to die so quickly. But I'm addicted now and like carrying an entire library and a bunch of free games whenever I'm back in the hospital or on bed rest or quarantine (COVID).

Great little tablet but big on every day use. But
I love my Amazon Fire 8" tablet. The resolution for videos is great. Downloading books is a life saver for me as the font can be enlarged. Surfing the web is easy wit Silk server or through Google. The 8" size is small but comfortable to hold while texting, reading or watching a video. I have a 10" Amazon Fire tablet too, but most often reach for m 8" tablet. It is weightless in your hands, price for all that entails a Kendal Fire tablet cannot be beat!! I love mine

Case fits like a glove
The case itself isn’t bad, it fits well and works. The problem is if you want to charge the device while it’s in the case it’s a bit tight. At first I didn’t think it would work but you just have ti push it in hard.

Not a Tablet, it's a Kindle
Great for Kindle reading, but the lack of apps makes it a bad tablet. I can't even get into my remote desktop or a payroll app. So it's basically worthless as a tablet and I wasted money on what amounts to just another Kindle (to add to the 3 I already own!).
