Three of the four refills were practically empty. They had leaked into the packaging. I should have taken the other reviews describing the same issue more seriously. I tried to save some money, instead I will be being the more expensive brand name refills.

Buy the real thing this compatible crap leaks during shipping so you don’t get the full 290 hours you paid for.

It is more eco-friendly than the gas heating variety but it’s easy to knock over and spill the expensive stuff. Bad enough at home but for camping I expect it’s rather a pain on the easy to spill front.

Must keep upright or they leak out.

My brother lives down south recommend this and he was spot on.....the price is a bit but the fact it works makes it fair! You can pay less but you will get less

Edit after using it: we had GREAT success with the original product so of course I tried to get a better deal. After a few hours outside, I got 7 gigantic mosquito bites. This product doesn't work at all. Changing from 3 stars due to leakage to one star because it works about as well as an emotional support oil lamp.The caps on these have just about the sealing power of a glass Tupperware container. It's really more of a firm suggestion than a real barrier. I used one day prime delivery, and picked it up later in the evening from when it was dropped off. You would probably have better luck minimizing the amount of time the package is able to sit upside down. Iff possible, try to aim for same day shipping, and order it when you will be home. Open it right away and make sure they aren't upside down. Store them in something air tight, and replace the cap when it isn't being used. That's probably your best bet to minimize leakage.

I couldn’t give 5 stars. I got bit by a few mosquitoes. Granted. It’s better than getting bit by 20 mosquitoes. But with THE thermacell brand. I had 0 bites.
