Wonderful things come in small packages.
My 2003 Volvo S60 has a geartronic transmission and unfortunately when I pulled it down from park to drive it flipped over to manual by itself and I could not get it back into drive. I couldn’t get the key out of the transmission but turned it off so as not to keep it running. When I tried to start it again it of course it wouldn’t start since it must be in the park position to start. To make a long story short I researched it online and found out the problem was this little package of parts and read that anyone who is a little mechanically inclined can replace the broken part and repair it. My son was able to watch a video and repaired it yesterday. The problem was the little yellow plastic “claw” had broken. The hardest part is getting to it without breaking the plastic tabs on the console. Now it goes into gear perfectly and I’m no longer “hitching a ride”.

Fast Shipping, fit perfectly on my 2004 XC70
I had shopped around and compared prices, volvoparts wanted a dollar less for this part, but charged $10 for shipping, so I chose this venue here on amazon. Delivered quickly and this part fit my model vehicle without any hickups. Once you know what you are doing, it's a 30 minute fix, but took me 2 hours to figure out 2 hidden bolts on the console. After it was out, it was easy to replace.Great quality and fast shipping. Would buy again.XC70 2004 2.5t

Cheap fix for a common problem, and with patience you can DIY.
If your Volvo V70 shifter is flopping about like a fish, this is what you need. The repair is a bit involved, but it's not highly technical. Just track down video or instructions of someone disassembling the console down to the shifter box itself. Then, use a blow dryer to soften up the plastic of the box and pop the top off of it using a butter knife. Use the same knife to pop out the little grommet that holds the old one in place (which will be broken) and then stick this one right back in the same spot.Reassemble.I've never done it before and it took me all of an hour, maybe an hour and a half. Beats the thousands the dealer wanted to replace the whole box.

Nearly impossible to remove housing cap on some models
Very few videos exist on the replacement steps. My 2006 xc70 had one of the hardest clip assortments to release and replace the geartronic manual shift widget. I actually broke one of the 4 clips and used a motor tool to cut down the housing cap to get it back on. With 200k+ on the odometer, pretty didn't matter and 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Wish it came with a small grease packet.

Perfect fixed my problem
Worked great. Was having issues with our 2003 Volvo S60 Awd popping out of drive and when shifting manually it was just flopping around no rebound. This was the problem. It was little tricky there is a great YouTube video on how to take it apart to get to it. As for putting it together it requires patience lol I recall reusing some parts that didn't break helped an just replaced the broken part. Goodluck but it is work it when fixed.

Fits 2005 S60 2.5T EASY FIX
There are 2 versions of this part for various Volvo models. Make sure you order the correct one. You DO NOT have to disassemble the entire console to replace this part. Just remove cover plate, leather boot, and shifter gear box cover. There are only a couple of YouTube videos showing the process. I would not have been able to figure out how to remove the box cover without the video. After that, the " claw" was very easy to replace. Pay attention to spring orientation and placement. I'm sure dealership would've charged a pretty penny to fix.
