It is STRONG
I may be considered a coffee wimp, because I'm not a big fan of STRONG coffee, but I want to support Brian Kolfage so I bought Military Grade. It is without a doubt, high quality and it is strong, at least to my taste. I used a level tablespoon of ground whole bean per cup. I will reduce the amount of coffee to water to see if it is more palatable to me. Worst case, I'll blend it with another whole bean brew. I'll buy more. Brian paid a huge price personally, serving this nation in the military, and, in my humble view, he is a true patriot because he continues to serve this nation every day. If you like a powerful brew of java, buy this. If you don't, find a way to use it and support this man and the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Great Cup of Coffee.
I'm half Colombian. My Grandfather not only grew coffee on his farm, but had been a member of the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia since it's founding in 1927. So, I have grown up around coffee and have seen its production from the ground up. I consider myself a pretty good judge of coffee.I was quite pleased with the full bean version. we got with Military Grade Coffee. It has a rich strong, smooth flavour without any of the bitternes often found in strong brews. The beans were very nice, dark and well formed, without being oily or over- roasted.Run through a French press, the cup was taststy, what I look from a premium grade coffee at this pricing point.I bought it based on an e-mail from Brian Koflage of 'Build The Wall' Inc., a group I support and was not dissapointed.

The Wife of a Coffee Connoisseur
Well, I have purchased every coffee under the sun for my husband to try. He is a coffee connoisseur no doubt!!! Many brands of coffee have gotten "it's just ok". When I purchased Military Grade Whole Been Coffee, I thought that I would get the same response and I would once again go back to the "green circle crowned mermaid" brand. But that is not what I got at all. He said it was in the top 3 best tasting coffees he has ever had. So after purchasing 10 bags, I will continue to purchase. Thank you for your service!

Military Grade Whole Bean Coffee
This is by far the best coffee on the market IMO. I usually ordered a different brand each time I ordered in an attempt to find my very own particular taste. If I thought I'd found it, the next bag wouldn't taste the same. I read about how a percentage of the proceeds of the sales for this coffee goes to veterans causes (through the Gary Sinise Foundation) so I decided to buy a bag. I just started my third bag this morning. The taste from bag to bag has not varied as I've sometimes found with other brands. For context, I like a medium tasting coffer, not too weak or too strong. Even though I'm careful with measurements, I sometimes get it stronger than the day before. Regardless of how it's made this coffee is never bitter and never leaves that burnt taste in one's mouth. This coffee is a keeper. BTW one can purchase it ground or as whole bean coffee. Both are equally good as my first bag was ground and the next bag and the present bag are whole bean. One can't go wrong either way!

Coffee so Great, it Trumps Hate!
Originally bought this coffee to support Brian and despite the hatefulness of the liberal left that don’t agree with his work to protect this country, our country. Well after purchasing his dark roast, all I can say is WOW! I can’t help but actually feel sorry for all the haters, because they are missing out on great coffee, and they make themselves sound pitiful. For over three years they have been telling us that we are despicable when they should really just look in a mirror. Brian’s company makes awesome coffees and I have found my favorite whole bean roasts. Thanks Brian.

All around great coffee, hits the hype
I am not going to lie. This coffee was so hyped up on reviews that I really wanted to judge it. Had to settle on a dark roast (usually not my favorite). Got the coffee exceptionally quick.Whole bean, so have to grind fresh everyday (or choose to haha), and I really must say this is the best dark roast that I have ever had. The beans are so oily and fragrant it’s unreal. The flavor is so creamy and soft for being dark, you simply cannot critique it. The only negative is that it’s a little over priced which honestly isn’t a big negative because they’re selling and it’s great, so kudos to them for being able to have slightly higher priced coffee.. cheaper than Kona

I like strong, and even bitter coffee
Very strong and bitter tasting. Having been in the military, I've had my share of strong coffee. These beans are certainly of a much higher quality than the stuff we got in the military. I like strong, and even bitter coffee, and this certainly was of a higher quality, but I didn't feel like the caffeine amount was higher than other beans I buy. Also, the beans were wet. Not sure if this was a humidity issue that got locked in from roasting/packaging, the transportation environment of the coffee being shipped to me, or if it is an oily residue from the roasting process. Never had such wet beans before and it was distinctly noticeable in grinding them. They were NOT rancid from whatever it is. Just noting that there was a definitive difference.

Not Good
I love coffee and usually roast my own as there is nothing better than Fresh roasted coffee. I purchased this one for the cause but was extremely disappointed with it. First, a very fresh roasted dark coffee is not oily, it will not start to bring some oil unless is much over a few weeks old. The coffee was so oily and the smell was one that you immediately new it was not fresh and in a bag for a very long time. The smell and taste was really really disgusting, could not go passed the second sip! The other thing was that, those who knows about coffee dark roast does not mean that is high on caffeine. This coffee seems to be much past the French/Italian roast and because of that it will take all the natural flavors and it will become just a burnt coffee so it seems they are infusing the beans with something to get the you hipped like if it had a lot of caffeine. To get the natural caffeine on a roast the rule is the lighter the roast the highest the caffeine. I wish them good luck.
