Hard to believe units like these exist much less help with pain relief. I started getting sciatica pain a few weeks ago and my Chiropractor uses a machine like this. So I got one for home to help treat in case of flare ups. Helps to get a good nights sleep without any pain in my back or leg. Battery lasts a long, long time.

Took a little time to learn all the functions on the device but quite happy with its operation .

This unit is a conundrum. It is very well made, from the unit itself to all the accompanying parts (cables/pads/etc). The unit is also one of the physically largest TENS units I've ever owned. I would say this isnt portable unless you plan to carry it in a bad of some sort, its not something you can wear on your person easily like other units. I also found the unit itself very difficult to figure out and get started. There are a lot of settings without a lot of explanation, like depth and width. Maybe someone with more medical experience would understand these options but to a normal person, its overwhelming.Once you do get it to work, it provides one of the strongest pulses I've ever experienced. This can be a good or bad thing depending on what you want. For example, on the main TENS unit I use daily, I have it set to a power setting of 14 out of 25. I got the same sensation on this unit at level 4 and actually had to turn it down. So start slowly with this if you purchase it to ensure you do not overstimulate the muscle. If this were easier to use, I would probably recommend it, despite its size. As it is, I think its a little too much for the average person to work with and there are simpler and effective units already in this price point.
