I’ve been using this large floating fishing basket on my kayak, and it’s been a real game-changer for my fishing trips. The size is perfect for holding a good amount of fish or whatever I pull from the traps, without taking up too much space on the kayak. It floats like a charm, so I can just let it trail behind me while I focus on fishing or checking traps. We do a lot of saltwater fishing, especially in the canal behind the house. We can sometimes cast net pinfish or mullet but may not use them all at one time. Having a submersible bait keeper instead of having to rely on trying to maintain a live well makes fishing life a lot easier. In a more stable environment, it would work well for shrimp but the canal changes in salinity so the water is not ideal. This will work nicely for our needs. The rubber coating should keep it from rusting out like other bait keepers in the past. The floats will keep it from sinking to the bottom and getting caught on oysters and barnacles. There is some assembly required but it only takes a few minutes. The basket will collapse down and fit into the nifty bag for storage or transport. I think this is a good addition to your gear if you do a lot of fishing with live bait.

This is wonderful for keeping baitfish from one day to the next. When I attach it to my dock, the baitfish are in naturally oxygenated water and protected from predators.

This is a very nice floating fishing basket. It has a good amount of floats that are easy to attach and keep this on top of the water. The material is a very nice vinyl material that is quite strong and does a great job holding anything you catch. I really liked it and will keep taking this with me on my trips.

Use this as a bait holding pen in Florida. Keeps them alive MUCH longer than a traditional bait bucket. The mesh size is small enough to keep all sizes of bait from swimming out, but big enough for adequate ventilation and algae/microorganisms to come in so your bait have something to eat. Very impressed with its performance, definitely recommend if you need a bait pen.

I love this design and itz perfect for vehicle storage and having in my camper!
