I was looking for a dark colored freezer chest to match the cabinetry in our garage. This Frigidaire looked perfect but the mostly negative reviews citing shipping damage had me nervous. We live in the middle of nowhere so I figured I would ultimately be disappointed but I could not find anything else I liked. While the box had some holes and the tracking revealed the freezer had gone on quite the journey, I was extremely pleased to find it was without even a scratch. I love the rugged exterior, which should keep it free from most scratching. The exterior is not any thinker than a standard fridge so it is likely just as susceptible to dents and dings. Performance has been great so far. If you are feeling lucky, it was worth the roll of the dice.

Frigidaire Chest Freezer. Arrived in perfect condition and on schedule. It runs quietly and it looks nice and blends well with my other black kitchen appliances. After applying power to the empty unit, the unit cooled down to -1 degrees F within two hours. I fully loaded product into the freezer and it slowly reduced the internal temperature to 9 degrees F over the next 12 hours . It eventually reduced to 2 degrees F at the factory default thermostat setting and maintained that temperature after 24 hours. Only two minor complaints: 1) The internal walls of the case are very thin aluminum which dent very easily when moving hard frozen food around, so care is required to prevent denting. Small dents inside do not affect functionality. 2) The control module on the bottom right side has a green power light and a blue compressor running light. I have only seen the blue light twice in 4 weeks, but I know the compressor runs or it wouldn't get cold. I am not sure why the blue light only came on two times, but it does not appear to affect functionality. So far I am satisfied with the performance.

Payed the full prize for this Frigidare chest freezer because I trust the brand and unfortunately arrived with structural damage both inside and outside. I wish I had a better experience since I liked and really needed the freezer, but when I pay full price for something that is "New" I expect to receive what I payed for, it doesn'tmatter if it works, don't charge "brand new" prices for something damaged. The box seemed fine and well padded in the inside, I think this damage was not caused by the shipment.

This Freezer is fantastic. I have wanted one all my life and I'm SO glad I chose this one. Keeps food incredibly cold on just the number 4 setting. It's very quiet. It came missing a "foot" on the front but customer service for Amazon was great! The Freezer arrived on time and with no dents at all! VERY pleased!!!
