Works Well
I used this primer on shower tiles that are a trim on the edge of my shower. These do not get wet all that much. I applied oil based white paint over it. So far, the paint has held well and now the tile trim that used to be beige matches the white color on the bathroom walls. Since I used very little of it, I have a lot of leftover in case I need a touch up in the future.

This is the BEST primer ever!
This primer works for glass, metal and ceramic tile. It makes painting those surfaces easier, and the paint stays! It is water based so cleanup is a breeze. I turned terra cotta ceramic tile (non-shiny like the floor in the photos) kitchen counter tops to light gray, and they are beautiful. The key is STIX, following directions and patience. I did a lot of research prior to selecting STIX. I cleaned the surface thoroughly with Krud Klutter bought on Amazon, applied 2 coats of STIX, 2 coats of Sherwin Williams best quality water-based paint, and 3 coats of AllPro WaterBorne acrylic polyurethane (satin finish). I let the STIX and paint dry 24-36 hours per coat and the urethane dry 3-5 days between coats. The success is all due to the STIX!! Project time was about 3 weeks as I had time to work on it. It's been in use about 6 weeks. Now I can just wipe the grout along with the surface of the tile - beautiful.

Loyal user
I love this product, this can I am a little upset about as it came leaking and they knew it was leaking because it was sealed in plastic. Anyway, this product covers well and sticks to any wood surface I’ve painted so far. And that includes those ugly shiny veneer tops. It also does something I noticed on a recent project, it fills in slight scratches making for easier painting. I do a lot of indoor painting because I live on the third floor and the product is low odor so that’s a huge plus and it dries very fast.

Great product worked great on cabinets
This ass a charm to use and a prize to have discovers for its adherence and durability. No lifting paint and no problem using it with brush or roller

It’s true. This primer is AWESOME!!
I paint a lot of different things. Furniture, cabinets, walls…I’ve always been a BIN or Kilz gal, but not anymore! This has virtually no smell, the cleanup is SO easy (soap and water!) and it doesn’t wreck your brushes.Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be using BIN Shellac primer on furniture projects when bleed thru is an issue and Kilz for stinky/smelly projects, but for everything else? I’ll be using Stix!

Poor Quality
I used this primer on 2 identical railings. I bought the first can from Ace Hardware and it worked great on the first railing. I only needed one coat. I got this one and used it on the other railing. I have added 2 coats and it still doesn't cover well. I won't be ordering any paint product from Amazon in the future.

Great product - easy to use, high adhesion, evens out brush strokes
Great for priming surfaces that are difficult to bond to. Very forgiving - self leveling, generally will not run. Great to prime oil based based painted surfaces especially when replacing with water based paint.

Use a dense foam roller
I used this product as a primer for painting tiles in my fireplace. I would do two things differently. 1) I would use a roller instead of a brush with this primer. I used a brush on the back tiles and a dense foam roller on the floor tiles. With the brush, the primer went on too thick and uneven. The floor went on beautifully smooth. 2) Even though they say you can use regular latex paint on the tiles once you use this primer, I would not make that choice, as the paint scratched off fairly easily. On the floor tiles, I spent the extra money and used patio/floor paint, and the result was excellent.
