childhood memories
when i was young, now old and gray i used to go to my local sweet shop with my 30p pocket money and buy my self a 1/4 pound of these sweets that would last me all week with a few pennies spare to save for a rainy day , when i came across these i was over the moon . brought back memories when my mother was still alive the taste is an acquired one a kind of winter green cough taste and is good for colds but once you try you will love them, the only thing is the ones from back in my child hood where a bit softer like a soft Scottish tablet the way i like to eat it. but on the plus side it will last longer as you have to melt it in your mouth. As a hold i love these sweets and hope they get softer the next time i get some and i would like the sweets in a jar the price is very good well worth my 30p even now

How am I going to not eat this in one sitting...
Brings back sooo many memories from childhood. I kept looking in sweet shops for this kind of sweet but they seem to have stopped stocking it. Then a flash of inspiration and a day later I have 3KG of heaven. My main problem is going to be not eating it all in 5 mins, because it is delicious.

I was paying £3 a bag for about 8 pieces of cough candy in our local sweet shop. I bought this in February 2012 and I'm only just at the bottom of the bag now...and its last day of October. Much cheaper buying it in bulk and this is a substantial bag - me not being metric was pleasantly surprised to see how big 3kg is! Tastes good too, has helped me and my neighbours through coughs and colds, stays fresh if kept packaged in an airtight container. Well worth the money!
