The main screw is not solid
I loved the entire package the handle is beautiful. The limbs are spot on .However I wanted a takedown bow so it could be assembled and re-assembled. However the screw and helicoil from step one, being very cautious. Was incorrect. What I mean is that the bootom limb and screw fit nicely the other limb the screw was not right and had to be slightly forced which now results in the fact that if the bow is taken down again the screw will be stripped. I think this a great theory. But, reality is now I have bought a one time use takedown bow. Unless they replace what I bougth. Also there are alot of useless things in the packaging. One thing that could be usefful is an arrow guide at the nock. Great product and great entry level bow. But if the screw and helicoil get stripped step one well You just paind for one time use junk again. Is Amazon becoming EBay. I am tied of buying product that don't fulfill a simple and not even, long term, warranty of fitness. I am in the processing a claim to see how they will make me whole again . Meaning I can fix the bosw and have it work at least more then one time of assembly.

I'm happy with this bow - don't hesitate to buy one.
I bought the 25lbs version to teach first-timers. I took it out yesterday to see how it performed shooting Lifesavers held in with a golf tee from 10 meters. My VERY first shot was within an inch. I got the feel of the bow fast and could get pretty tight groups. In my second round, I hit the golf tee directly in the middle on my second shot. I ended up hitting 2 Lifesavers in just a few rounds and felt good about this bow, especially for the price and weight. I would suggest this bow for a beginner. I may actually order a heavy draw because it's a pretty simple and nice-looking bow. I also like that you don't need an allen wrench to take it apart and put it together. It's a fun kit to keep in the car, and you definitely need to buy more than the 3 arrows it comes with. To be honest, I would like an even lower price and buy the arrow separately because you need more than 3 anyway.

Missing and different accessories than shown
This is a review on the product out of the box. I have yet to shoot with the bow as I’m debating whether to return this. This Lightning Archery beginner set offers a decent set of entry level components needed to start learning archery. Two minor things immediate stood out for me. One, the arm guard is different than pictured. I prefer the one in the product listing because I am a shorter person and it look like it would have been smaller and less sweaty to wear. The guard included is too long for me so it is basically useless. Second, the photos show that the bow string has finger savers installed. The bow string shipped does not have any attached nor are there any included in the box to install. The riser looks good and feels smoothly finished. The limbs look nicely finished with even tips. It’s good that the box includes instructions on how to assemble the bow. My son has a similar takedown bow, so it all made sense. The bow stringer is okay. The string can slips off of the silicone caps. Make sure these strings are in place before using. The smaller cap seems small to stay on the tip of the bow. I may replace this with a better stringer. The bow string measures around 59” which is about right for a recurve bow. For some reason, I found it a bit difficult to string this bow. I’ve strung both 20lb and a 25lb bows with less effort. This is the main reason I hesitate to keep this bow. I don’t know if something is off and I risk snapping the limbs eventually with the extra force needed.Once the bow string was installed, the draw weight felt about right. It feels light and comfortable in the hand. I wish the center serving area of the bowstring was set differently. It feels like it needs to be one inch lower or longer than where it is for three fingers under style shooting. The center serving is also not smooth as there is a small nick at the bottom edge. This is a decent set but the accessories are definitely something you will want to change out as your experience and use increases. If you need something fast with all the little accessories, this is decent. Otherwise maybe buy the bow and limbs you want without being influenced by the accessories included, purchasing better ones separately. Lastly, since this kit is promoted as a beginner bow, there should be a 20 lb option. When a person is new to archery, the draw weight of the bow should not be based on how strong you are. It’s about choosing a gentle weight that allows you to develop good form. If you are spending too much effort to control the weight of your bow string at full draw for 10+ seconds, you will develop bad form. Draw weights between 20-30 lbs is recommended for most just learning archery.

Well built beautiful bow
I like this bow, but 25lbs is still too heavy for my wife.

Better than a Galaxy!
For the price this can't be beat! Its more comfortable to hold than a Galaxy due to rounded corners on yhe handle, has a smooth draw and is a real steal for $99!! This is a complete archery kit with arm guard, arrows, stringer etc. - just needs the glove
