I did quite a bit of research before choosing these for a recent camping trip and I have been quite pleased with them. Other tents are made of a mesh screen type fabric, but these are more like a sheer curtain material so they keep out even the tiniest insects. In fact, I am now using one in my kitchen at home to keep fruit flies off bananas and homegrown tomatoes. I am also very impressed with the Chefast customer service. They enclose a note with each order stressing their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction, so I thought they'd like to know that I noticed some slight defects in one of the tents (their logo was backwards and some stitching was a bit loose). They responded very quickly and seemed to truly appreciate the input, then kindly sent me a replacement. I would not hesitate to order from this company again.

Update :I reviewed this too quickly-1 tent of 4 was defective, but the remaining 3 tents work well.Very poorly made- broke the first time I tried to use one. Do not waste your money.

The screen is very nice (cheese cloth like) for keeping out nats I live in an area that has a lot of tiny bugs and breezes that produce debreeI would say the screen is fine enough to catch even tiny pollen The pull string for deployment is very nice for quick setupthe only negative I can see is if a strong gust of wind could blow them off the only way I can see is weighted legs/feetbut they work great for any food covering needs :)

We spend time outdoors camping or barbecuing on the deck. Food sits out and flies and bugs get into it. These are a great way to keep those buggers out of our food. They store away easily and seem sturdy. I can't comment on durability as we haven't had and used them long enough

While these sheer "tents" are a great idea, this product is built too flimsily such that it is too delicate and breaks too easily. We are not rough on products but we found the center pin can pop out of place, umbrella spokes fall out of their holders and do not go back, and pull-strings break off really easily and cannot be re-affixed. Might be good for 1-2 uses but you would be lucky to get more uses beyond that (or even one use in some cases). Product needs to go back to the drawing board to make it more sturdy and durable for the intended use maybe with nylon instead of string and better secured spokes and center pin. Sorry, but it did not meet basic product standards.

I love these food tents! They're very well designed: set up well, keep the bugs out with a skirt around the base, and close up tight for storage or transport. The mesh is fine enough to keep out fruit flies as well as larger bugs. The company has been very pro-active from the moment I placed the order. They've made my summer experience so much better, and they'll allow me to have fruit out in winter without having to deal with fruit flies all year. Now, if only they made something to keep fruit flies out of my wine!

after viewing the mix reviews, I was not sure what to expect when package arrived. i order the 4 pack in different sizes and they were all functional and easy to use. I would recommend this product for the price you pay.

These food cover tents work perfect to keep out those pesky flies and gnats! They have come in handy when I had a plate of desserts sitting out and I didn’t have to stress over something getting into it. I can’t wait to use them outside in the spring/summer! I highly recommend getting these! Best part is 4 come in one pack so you don’t have to order several packs!!

Fine mesh, yet protects completely from even the tiniest of flies. Aesthetically pleasing. Packed well, comes with a case, four good sizes.
