Could be too much and irritating to some people…
I love this brand and have been looking for a new exfoliating facial scrub so wanted to try out this Germaine de Capuccini Exfoliating Face Scrub. It’s definitely not a facial scrub I personally can use daily. Maybe once a week at most. It is pretty harsh, the exfoliating beads are big! BUT, it does a great job! It does have a lotion-type feel to it, so although it’s exfoliating, it does leave my skin feeling hydrated. As long as I don’t use too much, a little goes a long way and too much will leave my skin feeling irritated and dry. This has: Corn Oil - Relieves irritation & immediately soothes the skin. Menthol - Provides cooling, invigorating, refreshing, & soothing properties. The menthol can be a bit much for some, especially near your eyes. So I just don’t use this close to my eyes. I do love this - it’s just not something I can use daily or even every other day. Once a week has been good for me!

I tried the Germaine de Capuccini exfoliating faces and it did exfoliate my face. I used it once and I just could not use it again. First, the exfoliating beads were just too big. They were too much for my face. In exfoliating washes I like the beads that are really fine in size, a this one does not have fine beads in it. If you look closely you can see in my picture how big they are. The cleanser did not foam or get sudsy, it just sort of stayed like a lotion, which I was not a fan of. When I applied it to my face I felt a very minty tingle and it smelled minty to me. It got close to my eyes and really irritated them (because of the menthol in the product - I found it in the ingredients list). I did not like the menthol in my face cleanser, it was too much. I was very afraid of what would happen if I got this actually in my eyes, and even my skin was getting sensitive to the cleanser, and I generally don’t have sensitive skin. It is nicely boxed and presented and everything else about this product showed a lot thought and care. Made in Spain
