Stale beans
This coffee on paper is great, it's not greatly priced but it's not bad either. The main and only complaint about it, is that for "speciality coffee" the beans are stale, you get a bag that's been packaged 3-4 months ago, and the beans could have been roasted even longer than that. Roast and bag it by order and you'd have something amazing. This applies to all the other coffee they sell, it's not just this specific one

Average coffee that's plagued by staleness from being roasted and packed more than 3 months ago..
I would have minimum expectation form a UAE based Speciality Coffee brand (i live in the UAE). I expect my speciality coffee to have been roasted and packed to order if the brand cares about standards or at the very least, within a Week. Koonoo Bold Dark Roast was packed in March.. I ordered in May. I didn't expect that. When I tried the beans, they extracted poorly (minimum crema, muted aroma) like all stale beans do. When i pay a premium on a speciality coffee vs beans from the usual "supermarket" lot, i have high expectations. I'm totally disappointed. my search continues.....
