Works well, smells terrible!
I'd read a few reviews which talked about how difficult it was to stir the product to combine it and how little of it there was in the bottle and how bad it smelled. All of those things apply to my purchase. The container is about half full and the product was very watery on top and rock solid underneath and it smells truly terrible - like stink bombs. I had to use a metal knife to stir it, anything wooden just wouldn't budge it. But once stirred, it's a good consistency. I have never done etching before. The mistakes in my first project (pictured) are down to my work with the vinyl, which wouldn't go flat and so allowed two tiny areas of bleed. But otherwise, I'm delighted with the results. I left it on for about 10 mins, just because of what I'd seen in crafting groups) and it's a lovely sharp, white result. I'm very happy for a first attempt. If you're new to etching and don't want to risk all that money for Armour Etch, try this first. But don't wash it down the sink like they say... ammonium bifluoride shouldn't go anywhere near our waterways. I used water-only wet wipes which I put in the bin and they worked great.

Etching Magic !!
Very very happy with this product , i recently took up this hobby with the idea of etching photo framespersonal names , personal messages and even cool designs , works great so far , little trial and error with how long to leave the paste on for , and definitely give it a good mix before use , my advice would be when your etching something new is to do a test with how long to leave the paste on for 2 mins , 5 mins 10 mins and 15 mins it all depends on the glass thickness

Impossible to mix
I wasn’t sure if I had a faulty batch but it was impossible to mix the watery solution on top with the solid stuff at the bottom, I did what I could and it resulted in leakage, blurry edges and inconsistent etching. Disappointing as I had high hopes for this alternative. Would try again if manufacturer could sort the separation issue.
