Generally a great item - with a tiny niggle.
Generally a great item - with a tiny niggle. For your money you get the books - left page with the colour scene, right page with the faintly outlined scene, ready to colour or paint.Think of them as the next step "up" from a paint-by-numbers.Now, the niggle:The paper is too thin. It feels like it's about 100 gram, maybe 120-140 gram, paper - almost useless for watercolour painting and even acrylics will cause it to buckle.Colour pencil work should be fine, crayon, texta, oil sticks - all OK... just don't expect to watercolour it.Note too, the paper has almost no texture - it's a definite hot press, almost shiny surfaced paper. I'm guessing, hoping, that wetting it and sticking it down (as in stretching 190 gram watercolour paper) will help.To the makers - I'd be happy to pay 50% more just to have the same book printed in 200-300 gram paper. Or perhaps, 6 images instead of 8 - the idea is great, the execution of it less so.▬Result - yes, I like them, I recommend them.. it's sketch work for people who can't sketch (and I am a crap sketcher, I may as well hold the pencil point-up as point-down!)My only real issue is that the paper makes it less overall useful than it could be.Good for practice, of course, and you could always copy the outlines onto 300 - 425 gram paper yourself.

Nice Selection - But Must be Traced
Many reviewers of these complain that the line drawings are on thin cheap paper. Well, yes they are. To produce these on 300gsm NOT watercolour paper would probably cost 10x as much. So, I traced the line drawings and then transferred these onto my favourite watercolour paper. Then using the coloured originals as a guide created my own watercolours. At this price they are true steal when compared to other watercolour books that include the colour originals and pre-traced line drawings. Plus these being on white paper by using a photocopier I can scale up or down too 👍😀

Not quality paper
Arrived quickly. The paper is very thin and not suitable for watercolour which I had hoped to use it for. I did do I e in watercolour but the paper buckled. Also all the lines showed through. I shall use it for pencils instead.

Great Value for Money !
Great set of books, ideal for me, as I am just about to try watercolour painting for the first time! It's very helpful having the completed to refer to as a colour guide . I am really pleased with my purchase!

Marvellous, creative , colourful, bargain books
Delighted with these colouring books. They were bigger than I thought, a real bonus! Some really good tips and instructions. And a real bargain at just £1 a book, looked a lot more expensive. Bought for my brother in law for an extra Christmas present.
