Darkona ® Skylight Blinds For VELUX Roof Windows - Blackout Blind - Many Colours/Many Sizes (M06, Cream) - Silver Aluminium Frame

I bought 3 of these as the reviews seemed pretty good. Oops! That was a mistake.I do a fair amount of DIY, and these are cheap, flimsy and fiddly to install. The instructions? As stated in other reviews - awful - they're not even correct.Installation aside, once installed, the blinds fall out of their track and gather so they get stuck, don't go smoothly up/down, and let in light in the sides - even when they are tensioned correctly.One of the items was faulty, and, for this item, no easy return path from Amazon - which is very disappointing for Prime. Maybe Amazon have watered-down their once-good reputation, I may as well have bought from ebay.Overall, very disappointed with these and with Amazon. They are less cost than genuine Velux blinds, but still not that inexpensive - so in this case, you don't even get what you pay for. I so wish I had chosen quality over cheap and nasty. Avoid!

The instructions to fit this blind where extremely easy to follow and was fitted in about 20 minutes without any problems.We had bought a blind previously from a well known company and the instructions were as clear as mud and it ended up going in the bin as it was also faulty and no help from customer service.I would highly recommend this blind we have just bought as it looks good and really blocks out the light and very,very easy to install

I needed next-day delivery of black-out blinds for the velux windows in our loft room. This reduced my options and led me to buy two DARKONA grey blinds. If I'd had more time I might have chosen a different colour, but the Darkona range was OK in terms of neutral colours. The blinds promptly arrived the next day and after an initial 5 minute puzzle on how the frame would fit, they were very easy to install. Took me on my own no more than 30 minutes to install both blinds and they fit perfectly. They've now been in use for a week, opening and closing every morning and evening and they are great so far. My only slight negative would be that both blinds came packaged separately in boxes that could've easily fitted 6 blinds. Seems a great waste of packaging material, which is something Amazon should really address.

Dimensions are very accurate. It fits into the window perfectly in every sense. Instructions are a bit confusing since we never DIY such before but eventually my teenage son and I figured it out and tightened it up with provided screws. Small drilling needed for us. Works very well so far for the past 2 months - highly recommended!!!

Dreadful quality, frame is good and snug with window but roll mechanism is poor - would look good if you never wanted to open the blind but not if you want to open/close.

Much easier to install than I envisaged. The hardest part was slotting the second string pully in place as tension tight. I had to take out the first one and then do the harder one first then ok. Blind stuck halfway down initially after installation then I realised I hadn't screwed the additional two side scews for the larger blinds as flush as I should have. Once I had the blind operated perfectly. It now works well and looks great and almost half the price of a Velux blind!

These were fairly easy to install and do a reasonable job as blackout blinds however they do not fit a well at the sides as a velux blind and do let in a small amount of light. Overall good for the price you pay.

Tad expensive for what I got. Fits easily into the window if you have the correct size, good colour choice and are definitely black out blinds, you won't be able to see a thing. However, biggest negative is that you can't stop them half way or whatever. Overall, good buy.
