Good value and I'm finding this book to be quite handy as a first year PhD student. 5 Stars!

Great stuff for those in their first year or who are about to start/thinking about starting. Easy to read and practical to apply.

It is great for students that are considering the Ph. D. path. Helps to clarify concepts and ideas.

Good book if your just starting a phd. I bought this when I transfered from year 2 MA to PhD so most of the content wasn't relevant to me as I had done it. Definitely worth the money for someone starting out

I was freaking out about an interview for a PhD, I read this book it gave me a sound simple framework with which to plan my Q&A, it made me think deeply about how I needed to structure my arguments in my noodle so I wouldnt waffle and blow it. I got a place. nuff said.

Small, pocket book. It’s easy to read and understand.

Very sound and handy guide for the novice prospective would-be PhD student to negotiate around the path of this level of study. Simple. straightforward and clear. A good introduction.
