UK made from white polyester fibre. This cord does not rot and moisture from the atmosphere will not change its characteristics. As a guide to allow for shock loading the picture weight should be no more than quarter of the breaking strain of the cord you use. After cutting any cord simply use a lighter to seal the ends.
