We wanted a filter for our sink and I ordered the x16 and it was really easy to install. I will say I was impressed at the size of this thing. It’s massive. I liked the x16 over other filters I’ve seen because the filters are replaced via the front, not the top. I also liked the faucet. Installation was very easy, hardest part was the drain hose but that wasn’t hard it was just nerve racking drilling a hole in the pipe. But it’s really not a big deal. Assembly, priming and using it couldn’t be easier. I love that it shows the TDS on the filter, without this my water supply is around 75, with it it’s around 11. Water taste crisp and fresh thanks to the remineralizer and it’s fast. Can fill a pitcher or cooking pot in seconds. I recommend this.

You can’t beat this filter, it saves us a lot of money not buying water bottles. It is the best water I have tasted and I’m a water freak. I drink alike 8-10 litters a day. It’s a must have in every home. We are 6 and drink a lot of water

I am on well water. Wanted a filter that would take out lead and any contaminants. Even though my water tested fine without any filter I figured it could not hurt. In my research I found that filters that remove everything (like reverse osmosis) are not so great because your body begins to leach the minerals etc.. that’s missing from the water. (or so I’ve read) So finding a reverse osmosis system that also puts back minerals was important to me. I also wanted one that I could install myself, and one that had a high flow rate so I wasn’t standing at it all day waiting for my glass or pot to fill up. This system was easy to install, puts the minerals back in, and has the highest flow rate I could find. It also wastes about as little water as you can with a 1:1 ratio. I fill up a pitcher, put it in the fridge. I also use it to cook with. I’ve had it about 4 months now and it’s been working flawlessly.

Update: Have been using this for a while and have updated my review. Still love this unit. I ordered this because water potability has always been an issue in our home. For context, we have been using a water dispenser with the 19-liter bottles, and buying water jugs at the grocery store or ordering them, which usually cost us $10 each plus some delivery. However we go through it quickly (as "hydrate!" is a big theme in our active family), so we often have to put in a large order if we are spending extended time up there. So this has become our new option. I'm really happy with it. And my family is picky with water. This system is absolutely top of the line. With a mind-blowing 11 stages of filtration, the water that comes out of this faucet is crystal clear and tastes amazing. I tested the water with pH strips to confirm it does indeed raise the pH to an optimal 7.5 as advertised Installation and set up (which I did myself -- and I'm a relative novice) was very simple. It took me just about an hour. I have had some recent experience replacing several bathroom faucets in my home, and installing new bidets throughout, so that helped with my comfort level on this plumbing work. The video and instructions are reassuring. I had to purchase a bit to drill directly into my stainless steel sink for aesthetic purposes, but I could have opted to just drill directly into the counter. The instructions are easy to follow, and all of the components felt premium, so no need to buy any plumbing supplies. The unit is pretty sizeable, but would fit easily under most household sinks. I personally store lots of cleaning supplies & a garbage can under the sink, so I opted to house the unit in a dedicated cabinet for ease of access, maintenance, and to keep it away from the cleaning supplies & garbage. Water comes out of the faucet super fast, so initially it would make a splash when pouring water into small drinks especially. There is a faucet-mode that you can easily configure to, which I would highly recommend (should be the default setting in my opinion). This setting eases into the high-powered output rather than immediately generating high output, and completely eliminates the splash issue. So far, I'm delighted. The water flow rate is good, and we are able to use it for drinking, cooking and water bottle filling with great convenience. The black unit is about the size of an old-school CPU, and fits well enough under the sink. It does need clearance of a couple of inches all around, which was not a problem for us. Note that this does need replacement water filters, much as you do on your fridge water dispenser line. I haven't had to buy a replacement yet, but it looks like they are at the $50 price-point. With the price of the filter unit where it is, that's still pretty good if it's going to last a few years. I would highly recommend investing in this system - it is on the pricier side but the build quality and output is excellent so I expect it to stand the test of time.

Everything you need is inside ! It HEAVY ! I have a custom build system at home, and it not as heavy as this, but this things does provide a lot more output as my tank system. It look much better under the sink as well being a single unit, and feel a lot simpler to replace the filters. I got the black one, but the silver would have look better in my setup ! I'm not sure I would go with a system like this again at that price... Even if it great, I would just get a smaller system with a tank and put it in the basement instead.
