Luke is a secret softy
Summary: Noah has recently moved to San Francisco from a small town in Canada. He’s staying with his brother’s best friend while he sorts out transferring his nursing license and can get his own place. In the meantime, he’s got a job selling sex toys via in home parties. There he meets the Marian clan who take an instant like to him and vow (to themselves) to find him a boyfriend by Christmas. So Noah has to navigate a series of blind dates when all he wants is his brother’s best friend, Luke.Review: 4.5 Stars--This is my first Marian family story, and while none of the Marians are main characters, I thought Lennox did a great job of keeping the story firmly in the Marian family series by making the characters from previous books integral to this story via their busybody, matchmaking ways. It definitely sparked my interest in the rest of the series because all of the characters were so interesting and endearing. I want to know how all those cute couples got together.Plus, I loved Noah and Luke. I like how despite everyone sort of treating Noah as if he is really young and naive, he’s actually quite competent and strong. He’s clearly very attractive and his innate desire to help others shines through because everyone he meets either wants to help him or date him or both. And even though he doesn’t see himself that way, he’s also not self-deprecating. I love that with any compliment, he just says, “Thank you.” I also like that even though he’s pretty much in love with Luke, he’s not going to just sit around pining after someone he thinks he can’t have. He’s totally willing to go on all the dates the Marians set him up on, figuring that even if he doesn’t fall in love, maybe he’ll at least make some friends. I just love his attitude. And at the end, he also proves he’s got a backbone and is willing to stand up for himself.Luke keeps telling himself that he can’t be in a relationship with Noah, but he so clearly wants to. He hides behind his career, and behind his persona of being commitment phobic, but in the end, he can’t quite help himself. I think it’s believable how he sort of struggles to shift his thinking about Noah from “he’s my bff’s little brother” to “he’s an adult I want to be with” even as his body and heart have already made the shift. I love how much Luke wants to take care of Noah, which is a nice change for Noah who is used to being an unappreciated caregiver in relationships.I also like that even though Luke is afraid of being with Noah because of what Noah’s brother will think, in the end, when he realizes that Noah is who he really wants, Luke doesn’t give his bff a thought. If you’re looking for a fun holiday romance filled with chaotic, lovable side characters and sweet, tender MCs, this steamy, mm romance might be just the thing!

An extremely cheesy-done-well book.
For what it was, I enjoyed the heck out of it. It was really cute, and the characters were comfortably familiar. It followed the trope nicely. Plus, cute Marian stuff. Except babies randomly appearing. I feel like I should’ve read something else first? But I’m going down the list in order, so..?Anyway. 3.5/5, same issues with the mechanics, but it was enjoyable I had fun with it.

Sweet romance but wanted more Marians
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4I love any opportunity we get to be back with the Marians, but this book was definitely less about the Marian family and more about Noah and Luke.Noah Campbell is new to San Francisco, living with his brother’s best friend who he happens to have a huge crush on and finds himself selling sex toys while waiting for his nursing certifications to come through from his last job in Canada. He meets the Marians at his first sales party and they make it their mission (and a competition) to set him up with every single, gay man they know. Noah is so sweet, considerate and wholesome that I just loved him and loved him even more when he started to develop more of a backbone toward the end of the story when he stood up for what he deserved from Luke.Luke Holland is a confident, commanding, successful lawyer who has been married to his job for years and only made time for casual hookups. He doesn’t do relationships and makes it known, which leads to him having a playboy reputation. Luke works with Pete Marian, so he’s familiar with the family craziness and isn’t surprised when they take Noah under their wing, but he is surprised that he feels so jealous of Noah’s dates. Even though he’s always seen Noah as the little brother he never had, now that he’s grown up and staying with him, things feel different.I liked Noah and Luke together but hated that so much of their conflict relied on miscommunication and lack of communication. They worked well together since they had so much shared history and knew each other so well. I wanted a little more depth and development in their relationship and less conflict, but I think they were really sweet together.I really wish we got more of the Marian family in this book - I enjoyed the little check-ins we got and the life updates, but it felt like a tease. If this had been a final wrap-up compilation story for all of them, I think I would have LOVED this book. I know there’s some more shorts left to read so I’m not done with the Marians yet…thankfully because I’m not ready to say goodbye!

Fantastic Short!
Ohhh what a lovely addition to the Marian series!Luuurved Luke and Noah! I felt like they'd always been part of the family it was so sweet!Luke, Noah's brothers best friend is a lawyer who works with Pete Marian. He didn't believe in relationships. Thought everyone left at some point so didn't bother with them. That was until Noah moved in.Noah left his small home town so he could start living life how he wanted to. Small town never appealed to him and he always wanted to move to San Francisco. His brother arranges for him to stay with Luke so he could settle in before he starts a new job. Noah always had a crush on Luke but when they start living together he realises its much more than a crush. The Marian's take Noah under their wing and decide to set him up with lots of dates. Noah's hearts not in it because of Luke. Luke starts to feel there could be more to life than one night stands.Bloody loved this storyline! Poor Luke didn't know what hit him when Noah moved in. I loved watching him trying to come to terms with his feelings.Lovely Noah grows so much over this book. From cute and people pleaser. To assertive and strong. I mean he's still a cuteheart but he puts his foot down and stands up to people. The two of em together were fab! Their shared past makes them so right for each other. And the ending? Hooray for Christmas magic!I loved the Marian chapters. They gave you a birds eye view of all of them! Crazy, loving, sweet, annoying, incredible family.Great little treat for every fan of this series!

OMG
I normally read a book quite fast. This book l spent so much time crying hysterically with laughter, it took me 4x as long. The 3 old biddies questioning Noah, the poor lad never stood a chance, and their questions.I don't think the correct person won the bet either it was kind of cheating.Anyhow just jump into the book, you wont regret it.

You can't help but love these books.
Aunt Tilly and co are at it again, they try and set up Noah the new guy from Canada with dates. There's a bet on with the Marian family on who Noah will fall for first but what no one knows is that Noah has had a crush on his older brothers best friend Luke for forever. Like is a commitment phobe but can't stop thinking of little Noah only Noah isn't little anymore. Can the season of magic bring the two men together and let them have their forever. Read to find out. Recommended.

Love this family
I want them to be real and adopt me into their wonderful craziness.Noah and Luke might not be Marian's but they are as good as and the large family will do anything to make them happy even if they didn't realise the perfect coupling were already setting the wheels in motion.
