A very well written story, pulls together different people. Shows that people of different backgrounds and beliefs can get along and work a grow together.

Story of challenge, faith and most of all love. Great rodeo story and great story of redemption with native influence.

Excellent novel!

I read Ragged Company, by Richard Wagamese, and loved it, and wanted to continue with him. I found Dream Wheels a little "hokey"--some of the traditions seemed overdone, somehow. Still, an excellent read by a very good author.

excellent writing about human capacity to survive and thrive. Example of truly value driven model of society, not profit driven, as well as bridging the two cultures, Native American and mainstream.

Wagamese is amazing at capturing both the strength of the human spirit and our connection to our natural world. He takes components of loss, courage, love and loyalty and presents them simply and honestly. I treasured this story.

Very inspirational book to read. I found it very uplifting.

Wagamese writes so descriptively that you live the journey. The Indian native spirituality and values are beautifully demonstrated in the lives of generations of the Wolfchild Family.

Richard Wagamese is one of the best story tellers of all time. I have read 5 of his books and have a hard time putting down each one. He tells of so many ways of healing through Ojibway ways. His writing is unique and empowering. Canadian author and very knowledgeable of Ojibway healing which can be transferred to any culture. I have learnt so much from reading his books.

Read the book 'Dream Wheels' - gives a good insight of a bronc rider & what they go thru, good and not so good days ... and this was all about the Indians and Black youngster trying to find himself, plus the injured bronc rider.

Or go home. I found a lot of truth in these pages, a lot of experience and research. Legendary heroes, exceptional entertainment.
