The fan by itself cannot be just turned off. To turn it off you must use the timer. When you use the timer it shuts off Everything including the fan, the light, the unit itself. Why the heck can’t the fan switch cycle include “0” with levels 1,2,3?? Horrible loud beeping that cannot be silenced. Great way to wake the neighborhood when you turn it on in the middle of the night.Finish is ok. Suction power is modest—less than expected. It cannot evacuate all the steam from a tea kettle on the back burner. The LED color seems true and balanced. The charcoal filters have meaningless amount of contents. Even with the unit pitched properly, the grates will drip over the cook top. It is not quiet.3 out of 5 may be an over valuation of the product.

Looks good. Easy to use. The LED bulbs are very bright. The fan seems adequate. No complaint so far.

I initially had a microwave with a built in range right above my stovetop, but then I replaced it with this range hood instead. And I've got to admit, it looks AMAZING. It really changed the look of my kitchen and helped make it look sleek and modern. If you are on the fence about making this change, I would highly recommend it to transform the look of your kitchen. This range hood was relatively easy to install with me and one extra helper and the manual was easy to follow.In terms of functionality, this range hood is much more powerful than my built-in one in my microwave. I especially love how easy it is to remove the bottom panels to clean in the dishwasher after they collect the grease and oil over time from cooking directly above the stovetop. They are easy to remove, but also stay put once reinstalled. The buttons are easy to press and responsive. I especially love the brightness of the built-in lights. Once turned on, it is not too loud either. Overall I am impressed with the quality and functionality. This was the main piece that really put my kitchen renovation together. Very happy with this overall.

This is one of the best range hoods I have seen in this price range. (Have seen these models selling for 1/3 more.) It has up to 500 CFM airflow, double the requirement of a 30" stove. Considering my 300 CFM with the fan at the back center of the range picks up nearly all the smoke and smells very well when I am using the front burners on my 30" stove top, I am really looking forward to using this one where the fan is more forward centered, off to the the right side. It will definitely do a much better job at preventing smoke and smells escaping, especially with it's excellent air circulation of 500 CCM when on the highest setting! The lights are position perfectly to light up my cooking area well and the timer feature means I can leave it running when done cooking to catch the left over smells, then it will turn itself off automatically. I can also really feel the quality in it's weight, and it is quite solid for a range hood. Since there is no slant and the baffle filters cover the entire range area, there will not be a need for me to use an oil catcher. Plus, the thicker stainless steel baffle filters, being dishwasher friendly, will be very easy to maintain. (As long as I keep up on cleaning these filters, there should be no issues at all.) And for those that want to install it without venting, there is an option to separately purchase a carbon filter kit for the fan!I am not quite ready to install this range hood just yet, but I can honestly say that it is exactly what I was looking for to go with my future kitchen renovation, the perfect addition to my kitchen once I complete the renovation and upgrade all my appliances to stainless steel.

This review is for the stainless steel range hood.PROS- Good quality; stainless steel; nice modern look- 3 adjustable speeds for the fan- Pretty powerful, I would say it does a quite impressive job with the airflow and eliminating odours- Two bright lights to illuminate the area while you're cooking- Easy to use buttons- Ready to use plug; no need to splice wires or do electrical work; just plug into an outlet- Removeable stainless steel filters which you can pop into the dishwasher to clean- Fairly quiet even on the highest speed!CONS- Fan only on one side- Took a while to install as we were beginners but not too difficult, just a bit of time to figure outOverall, I think this is a great range hood. Our old one was getting really weak in sucking out the odours. We've noticed a BIG difference after installing this one. It eliminates a lot of cooking odours, works well, and isn't overly loud.

There are several things I like about this range hood. In point form they are:- Easy installation options. When choosing to vent outdoors, you can choose between rectangular exhaust holes at the center back, or top, OR a 6" diameter connection at the top. This latter option can save costs (and maximize airflow) by not having to use an adapter.- 500cfm. There are three fan speed settings. The highest setting is 500cfm, which is the minimum amount I would consider for a range hood.- Easy-to-use controls. There is a push button for the light (only on or off, toggled using the one push button), the fan (one push button to toggle between the three speed settings, a time button to set the time, and an on/off button to turn off the fan.- Attractive looks. The stainless steel exterior is attractive. The range hood has a protective tape coating over much of the stainless steel surfaces. It is quite satisfying to remove.- Price. This range hood is reasonably priced for its features.The key thing that I dislike about this range hood has to do with the size and location of the opening of the exhaust fan. When you remove the right side grease filter, you will see that exhaust turbine opening is centered on the left side of the range hood. That means the range hood would be most effective for cooking pans locating under the the right side of the range hood. I found that on the high setting, the range hood could hold a piece of 8.5"x11" up against the grease filter on the right side, but not on the left side! It is because of this that I give this range hood a rating of 3 stars.

It not going to win awards, but if you are looking for something that doesn't look too bad, it not too expensive and kinda work... Well this does it ! That said, my microwave rang hood costed me 50$ more, but it wasn't the stainless finish look... It suction isn't amazing as well, but work ok for the type of cooking I do which is mostly just water steams.

Great looking and the stainless steel quality is good.The fan has so far effectively removed the steam and cooking odors while cooking. The range hood offers three speed settings and is pretty quiet even at the highest setting. The LED lights are bright; the lighting over the stove is excellent and provides full coverage.The touch controls have been easy to figure out and use, and it has a feature I like: the timer feature. I think it is a great addition and should be included on all range hoods because I had been wasting energy keeping mine on all night most times, as I would take meds or prep things for the next day and forget. Even if I do end up leaving it on, I feel like I am saving energy anyway.The baffle filters being dishwasher-friendly makes cleaning it simple, compared to soaking my older filters.The installation is what you would expect, and I would recommend two people due to the weight of the unit. My sons’ dad helped me with the installation.Overall, this range hood is great, and since I am going to be remodeling my old kitchen to include all new stainless steel, this will fit in great with it all.
