They work inside fixtures!
We added a mudroom off our garage and added a hall light. From the garage entrance the light switch was at the end of the hall. Rather than adding a switch we bought these bulbs. I was concerned they wouldn't work in our light fixtures but they do. I am very happy with how sensitive they are to movement. They are plenty bright but not glaring and give off a nice warm light in the room with a light tan wall. We have not repainted yet so the new mudroom is white and the same bulb seems more of a harsh white than I would like. But again, that's just the brightness reflecting off of the white paint. I know I will be happy once we paint the hall all one color. But if your room is white these might seem less warm than you'd like but not quite a day light white either.

Problem Solvers
So I had a staircase that I was struggling on trying to get lit without raising the electric bill. Tried other devices in the space and the issue was they did not activate at the right times, these bulbs were the answer to that issue. They give a great coverage area for the activation and the cutoff time was the perfect amount of time to traverse the area to the second light bulb and the trigger seamlessly one after the other. The light quality is amazingly bright for LEDs and do a great job at illuminating the area at a relation of a 90% light. The cutoff time ranges around 30 seconds to 45 seconds which is perfect and they read your emotions correctly.

Good to have
I like the motion detector light. Specially in the backyard when it's night and light up when animal or people pass by.

We Love these! They work great for what they are designed to do.
They are wonderful and designed to do exactly what they are suppose to do. They stay on just as long as you may need them to coming into and out of rooms/ hallways. If you need a light for a longer period of time, maybe have another light that you can turn on as well.

Works Well…
This is the info you’ll want: I have two of these lights in my 21’x13’ utility/laundry room- no fixtures to block the sensors, sockets are downward facing and 7’ high, and far enough from any windows that the sunlight doesn’t stop them from turning on. I got them for my cats. When they enter the room to use their litter boxes, the lights turn on. When they’re done, the lights turn off. They seem to enjoy having the overhead lights on as opposed to the nightlights. They don’t feel as vulnerable and hurry out as if they’re dodging an attack.Having more than one bulb to detect the motion helps. I have two bulbs (soon to be three) in my laundry room. Both bulbs turn on when I’m within 6-8’ of them. If I’m doing laundry, the bulb that is 9’ away from my appliances will turn off. The bulb that is 2.5’ from my appliances will stay on due to the continued motion. If I move 6” or so closer to the bulb that’s 9’ away, it turns back on. So expecting one bulb to stay on while you’re 12’ away on the other side of a room probably won’t work. You need a longer timed bulb (GE makes one that stays on for 5 mins) or multiple lights. So yes, these work well in the right circumstances. They stay on when I’m doing stuff within a 6-8’ radius of each bulb’s area. More than that, they’ll turn off.The fixtures over the bulbs and the placement when using a fixture will make a difference. If they are clear, they’ll probably work. If they aren’t, they probably won’t depending on the coverage and how high the socket is. The sensor is the nub on the top of the bulb. That sensor needs to be free from obstruction and pointing in a direction that allows it to detect motion. And, yes, always have the light switch in the ON position for the bulbs to work. No electricity means no light. Keep the switch ON or the light will stay OFF. No, these are not dimmable.Seeing that other reviewers tried the bulbs in their closets/pantries and weren’t happy, I tried the bulbs in mine. I tried it in my 7’x6.5’ closet that’s in a fairly well lit area due to many windows, but the closet doesn’t get direct light going into it. As soon as I opened the door, the light came on every time without hesitation. I tried it in a smaller 4’x4.5’ closet with a 10’ ceiling and a push button style switch. Without covering the bulb with fixtures, the light worked perfectly in both closets. One of the bulbs in my two pack was defective. It didn’t work at all. I contacted the seller directly via Amazon messaging and they sent me a replacement. Easy. No muss, no fuss.Check the bulbs before installing in hard to reach sockets. After installing, you’ll know the bulb is good bc it will turn on briefly when your switch is flipped to ON. After the bulb turns off on its own, you should then be able to activate it with motion. If not, check to see if the sensors are blocked by the fixtures or other items, the brightness of the surrounding area might be stopping them from working properly since they’re light sensitive, and make sure the bulbs are pointed in a position where they’ll be effective. If there’s still an issue, ask the seller.

I would not buy again..here's why....
I wanted a motion sensor light for my utility room that is in my basement. My cat has a litter box down there and I wanted her to have some light (yes I know cats can see in the dark). I decided to give these bulbs a shot and I am not impressed. Sometimes it's bright, sometimes it's really dim, sometimes it detects my cat, and other times it doesn't. Sometimes it doesn't even turn on. These issues started happening maybe a few weeks in after installation. I should have returned them but missed my window.

Works great in a double fixture.
I saw another review that said you can’t have 2 of these in 1 fixture bc they won’t work, but I don’t find that to be the case. I have these in a ceiling mount fixture on my porch. 1 of them does come on more often, but I think there are other factors affecting it— 1 is pointed towards the door and the other towards the yard, 1 gets more ambient light which would affect when it thinks “night” has started, I normally approach from the right side and 1 is closer to that side, etc. I have seen them both come on at the same time, but it doesn’t always happen. If that’s important to you, a motion sensor fixture might be a better option. The fixture I bought wasn’t motion sensing, so these are great to make it operate in a similar manner. Temperature does seem to affect how sensitive the bulbs are, but I really just want it for once I’m on the porch, so they work for my needs.

Works as intended - But Can't Keep the Light On
This product is great and it's a solution to coming home late and trying to open the door in the dark. The motion sensor is very close however and therefore when my dog is out on her leash, the light shuts off every 30 seconds because she's not within range. It would be nice to be able to have the option to keep the light on.
