Possibly one of the greatest albums of all time
Possibly one of the greatest albums of all time. How do I know this? My Mexican Girlfriend who loves Ricky Martin, Thalia, PitBull and other hispanic artists loves this Album? Again how do I know this? Her car has a hard drive based media center, so you can drop in a cd and it will rip the music for playback...It also has a feature that creates a playlist of the songs you listen to most. Guess what album has songs in the top 10? Yep Treasure...I'm not in her car enough to effect the playlist. Of course, she did go see Dead Can Dance in 2005 and enjoyed it. I think she's secretly goth!

Wonderful Classic Album from a Unique Group
This was the first Cocteau Twins recording I heard, and it caused me, after a pause to begin to understand it, to buy everything by them I could find. This was in a bygone era when finding music involved going to shops and flipping through bins of "jewel cases" as they were called. Musically, it is just lots and lots of layers of guitars and voices over fairly simple beats and chord progressions, all beautiful and yet odd too. A big part of the oddness is that the lyrics here are literally in a language that no one understands. The overall effect here is huge, grand, and mysterious.

A world outside of your own that is very familiar to you
Treasurer and Head Over Heels are my two favourite Cocteau Twins albums, but then I feel bad when I think what I have left out, Treasure is certainly a perfect album though, it's been in my life since its release as have all their albums, I don't try to find out what Lizz is singing about, I listen to the music as a whole and her voice is another instrument, so why have it on vinyl I can hear some of you asking, my HIFI is half decent, certainly not tens of thousands though, but the sound it now gives me is better than CD, but vinyl is about emotion too, there are imperfections and they add their own charm, they become part of the listening experience, to their albums I am lost and time passes so quickly, I get things done without realising, I am taken away from everything and I like that, I spend a lot of time in a lot of pain and the music is my escape from that pain for a while anyway, The Cocteau Twins are quite special, get their albums and you may see for yourself, have a listen to their 4 CD box set Lullabies And Violaine, it contains their singles and EP's in one place and a few alternate mixes, another stunning body of work and another place to get lost in, enjoy their work and you will find yourself loving it quite quickly, I wouldn't be without their albums, so why did I buy this you are wondering? Since its release I have owned it but sadly it was worn out, not scratched, just played so many times that the stylus kept jumping as the groove had worn out, the other albums are the same and all are being replaced.Treat yourself and give them a listen, the CD's are available cheaply enough, you won't find anything quite like them, give them a chance too, the songs may sound similar the first time but listen again another day
