Cen-Tec Systems Premium Shop Vacuum Extension Hose, 50 Feet

This hose was exactly what I wanted and expected, no complaints.Keep in mind that most shop vacs have 2.5" hoses, this hose has a smaller diameter which is what I needed for my smaller shop vac.I had to swap the connectors from this hose and my shop vac but that was no problem.Unfortunately, switching from a 4' to a 20' foot hose reduced the suction at the end. I was expecting some loss, but it was much worse than I expected.

I only needed about 1/2 this length, but at time of purchase, this was the best value on Amazon for a hose that fit my needs. It's well made & the extra length means I can use it in more places without having to move the vac (it's not stiff - coils up well - so not a pain to be too long).

It fits my "Shop Vac" (a Ridgid shop-vac-like vacuum) that uses 2.5" hoses. The connector included that connects to the vacuum is tapered so that it'll fit anything that uses hoses sized between 2.125 & 2.5 inches.What you get in the box is the gray plastic hose and two black plastic ends that you screw onto the hose. They do not lock on or even stay particularly firmly attached from friction. The one end that connects to whatever tool you're using twists completely around so that what every orientation you need for your tool can readily be accommodated. The hose itself is surprisingly durable. Better than the hoses that normally come with a shop-vac-like vacuum by A LOT.Despite it's description, the hose isn't particularly stream-lined, air-flow-wise, and attaching it to the vacuum raises the motors RPM considerably as the motor struggles to pull in air through this 1.25 inch hose (half the diameter) connecting to a vacuum designed for a 2.5" hose. Air-flow is significantly impinged, so don't expect big sucking action from your monster 6hp super-sucker.The hose is fairly crush-proof and quite flexible. It's slick surface helps the hose to slide along surfaces, but the DEEP spiral crevice that runs the length of hose tends to try and snag on things, so it's basically a wash, sliding-wise.The length, combined with the great flexibility, are a welcome modification to the normal routine encountered while vacuuming with shop-vac-like vacuums. The hose is super-slinky and slinks right along, when it's not getting snagged on something Like I said, earlier: it isn't snag-prone, nor is it snag-proof. It just snags sometimes.With these few gripes aside, overall I'm happy with the product. It is doing what I need doing and saving me all kinds of frustration.

Purchased the Cen-Tec Systems Premium Shop Vacuum Extension Hose, 20 Feet for my wall hanging shop vac in the garage. The hose is a few feet longer, seems more flexible because of a "softer" vinyl material which may be nicer when pulling into vehicles. The ends are more durable especially at the connection point to the hose, which has a swivel connection point vs a rigid attachment point. Only used a few times so unsure on the durability but I can't believe it will fail under normal use.

i use it to clean my gutters, it and a curved end attachment, no ladder needed

Great quality and light weight

I purchased the 30 Ft. version to allow me to keep my ShopVac in one location yet still be able to reach all that hidden dirt in vehicles! I use a 4.5HP metal canister ShopVac, the connector was snug but fits perfectly and suction is just as good as the OEM hose. The swiveling nozzle is awesome to keep your hose from rolling and knotting while you work also!

I purchased this hose to connect to my shop vac in my basement. My large basement that has a lot of shelves and other items that make the maneuvering of my shop vac difficult. This hose solved the problem. It is a very durable hose that will take abuse and last a very long time. FYI: A little tip if the connector going into your vac is loose. Take some masking tape as it is thin and easy to remove and put one wrap around the connector. This should make the connection snug. A definite BUY! in my book.

Very happy. I was conserved it wouldn't fit my cheaper home line shopvac but it does fit just fine. Works great and the quality of the material is better than what I initially had with the shopvac
