It is quick and very easy to assemble. I find the frame to be stable and strong enough even for a large person. I got it for my upcoming second knee replacement surgery, and I like it much better than the frame I had for my previous knee surgery. I plan to keep using it even after my recovery. The height is easily adjustable. I really don't know if the vinyl covered seat will last a long time, but it seems fine.
