From the manufacturer Moldmaster Container Soy Wax Mouldmasters Eco Soya Wax has been blended and developed for use as a wax specially for container candles as there is minimal shrinkage and has a very good scent throw. You might imagine that not much changes in the very traditional industry of candle making, but you’d be wrong. The first great revolution in candle making was the development in the mid 1800s of paraffin wax, which is today a by-product of the lubricating oil industry. A: Always WEIGH your oil in weight not ML. So if your doing 200 grams at 6% fragrance it would be 200x0.06= 12 grams of oil per 200 grams of wax.
1% 0.01
2% 0.02
3% 0.03

And so on...

**Q: How many candles does this make?**
A: Depends on the size of candles you make. Will make loads of tealights and cup sized ones. The bigger you make more wax will use.

**Q: Is it true eco soy wax is being discontinued soon?**

Perfect wax for a beginner like me. I used a couple of old red Yankee spiced candle stumps to colour and perfume my candles. It all melted down really well and set completely within a couple of hours. I made 6 teacup candles for Christmas presents. . They all set pale pink and look beautiful . We tried one last night and it burnt beautifully with a lovely light spiced fragrance. There is masses of wax left, so really economical. I will order another 2 kilos in the new year. No smell or mess in the kitchen either. I made my own double pan, one old large pan and one smaller one to fit inside it. I melted the wax over a pan of gently simmering water and poured it when it was 50c . I used an old jam thermometer. Helps to have a silicone mat to put the candles on to set, because any drips can be peeled off and reused.
