I have been excited about trying saffron to help avoid having cataract surgery; they say it helps with clearing them up "naturally." I did quite a bit of searching before settling on this brand because it seems most supplements come 88.5 mgs., which I thought might be too high before knowing how my body would react to this supplement. This one said "it was safe for kids," so I'm giving it a try. The first night I took it very late, I started with one pump instead of two; less is more until you see how your body reacts. The entire next day, I was a total "zombie," and very dizzy. In fact, I felt like I was "hungover." I didn't see clearer focus, more energy or anything like that, which is supposed to be a benefit when taking this supplement. I was drinking caffeinated drinks all day; just trying to wake up. Then a very interesting thing happened, by the following afternoon, I came out of my "fog," and even my vision seemed a LOT clearer, and that was after one night of taking this. My recommendation is: definitely take this at night before bed. They even say, "it can act as a relaxant or aphrodisiac," so if you need to work during the day, you might want to avoid taking in the morning. Also, "START SLOW." You can always build up the dosage as your body adjusts to it. Ideally, I would like to take one of the higher dosed supplements in capsule form, but will work my way through this bottle first. And, I only gave it 4 stars because of my initial strange reaction. As far as the taste goes, that was fine. The other thing I did was take the dropper first night directly into my mouth, but second night I diluted in water and used a little bit less. Putting in water, and cutting back the dose seemed to work better as I slept well, and didn't feel like a zombie next day. Give it a try, and don't "panic" if you are a bit dizzy the first time you take it.

The flavor is good. Tired of pills. There was a touch of saffron in a gummy I took for stress. I guess the saffron along with the other ingredients helped a little for stress but the amazing thing is that apparently the saffron helped my eyesight! My optometrist had to drop the strength of my contact lenses. I have high hopes for even greater improvement from this stand alone liquid formula. I am about to turn 67 years old, a time when my eyesight should be getting worse and thanks to saffron, it's better!

I really like this product and how it truly makes ya truly relax and calm down and even makes ya sleep really good 2!! Wish I could take it during the day but it makes me super tired like benadryl soo I can only take it at night an hour or so before bedtime!!!

Saffron is EXPENSIVE. I've had saffron tea before and this doesn't taste anything like the real thing. I'm not sure if they added sweeteners to it to make it more appealing to the general public. I've taken half a bottle and I don't feel anything. Nothing good nor bad. I'm on the fence on this one.

Do your own research like I did. I found that there were studies done of saffron mixed with the other anxiety medication a family member needs that show that the combination truly enhances the effectiveness (can confirm). The taste is agreeable with said family member as well. If the price doesn't come down, however, there is a slight price difference to purchase a different brand of liquid saffron in a 32oz bottle (I believe), and then one could add strawberry (or other flavor) liquid sweetener to make it more palatable. I won't mention the name of where you can purchase that 32oz bottle, except to say it begins with a W.
