Bristan R 1/2 MT Basin Tap Reviver with Metal Handles, rings color may vary(blue/red), Chrome

Been looking to replace a old tap and could not find the right one. Done research and found that these old taps were Bristan taps. Then found this and read somewhere it has what it needs to fit on to any universal tap system. I was very skeptical.When it arrived I opened and checked and it had everything we needed. Best bit was I didn't even use the extra fitting just pulled out old taps and glands and replaced with new. So simple and very nice looking. Hardest part was removing the old parts. Yes, they are not super duper quality and elegant but they are not that bad either and if you want to replace old for a reasonable price then this is it. I am happy. Saved me a purchase of new full tap and labour.

I bought this kit to replace two ceramic head taps that were twenty years old. The kit comes with fittings for both hot and cold taps so both can be replaced at the same time. It includes washers, screws and additional plastic spacers so the new head can be adjusted to suit a seating depth between 22mm and 32mm so fits a wide range of taps. It was very straightforward to remove the old heads and replace with these new ones and a lot less hassle than replacing the whole tap assembly. Clear pictorial instructions (see attached). 5 year parts guarantee.

My 20 year old cold tap in the utility room was dripping and when I took the plastic head off the splined collar shattered. Bristan products seemed well recommended by professional plumbers in other reviews so I went for this kit, rather than slightly cheaper alternatives, and replaced both cold and hot tap valves. They fitted straight in with no need for the adaptors or extension spacers (for which there are clear instructions), and it was a very simple job once I’d got the old valves unscrewed. The heads are metal and quite heavy, with a quality feel. I’m very satisfied.

Great kit easy to fit and they work a treat. Easy to use if you have Arthritis. I bought a pair of slightly cheaper ones in 2016 and it's true you get what you pay for.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this kit to upgrade my old leaky very stiff taps, Nice modern look to them ideal upgrade.After 2 days i noticed there was an issue (after discarding my old ones) there seems to be play in the handle before it engages with the valve and the cold tap has already developed a constant "Drip" that cannot be stopped.if I had not thrown away my old taps I would have returned these. Good old Bristan let me down,Now looking to purchase a "better" replacement set
