Smart home ready landscape lighting transformer
Awesome landscape device. I hooked up multiple zone and a pump for a water fall. I connected it my my vera plus hone automation system easily and works great.

Programming loss with power outage
The 15DC300 controller works great. Here in west central Florida we have thunder storms almost every day in the summer. When lightning strikes near by the power sometimes blinks on and off for just a second. When this happens,all programming is lost. The unit only retains the time and date. Your state and city location along with all your programming will be lost due to the fact that there is no battery back up. If this happens after the unit was commanded to turn the lights on, the lights will remain off till the next evening at dusk due to 2 factory presets. A ALL ZONES on at dusk and a off at dawn in the eastern time zone because the factory is in Ohio. If you live on the west coast, your lights will come on hours before the sun goes down because sunset in Ohio happens at 4:30 pm west coast time during summer.

Works Great with SmartThings!
I love this controller. Great as an upgrade or new install. Kichler is pushing the Vera platform with this device, but I added to mySmartThings network with no problem at all.There are actually 7 channels as one of the channels can control all the others, basically an on/off switch. I renamed my zones in SmartThings and now control landscape lights Alexa.More expensive but the zone functions and SmartThings connectivity make it worth the extra $300 over a dumb power supply.
