swedish hasbeens Women's Cross-Strap Debutant Platform Sandal

I've wanted a pair of Swedish Hasbeens for quite a while so when I saw this pair for only $44 when they typically sell for well over $100, I got them. I don't know if it was this particular pair or style but I returned these because the fit was terrible. I wear size 8.5-9. I got a size 9. The leather is very tough and the part around the middle of my foot would dig into my skin. They were just plain unwearable. Also, the staples used to hold the leather down aren't very even and give the shoe a "cheaply-made" look. And this particular design didn't look good on my foot.That being said, I tried a similar sandal with a different design at a store and those fit me perfectly. The platform is made of wood so when you walk in them, you feel the impact as the wood doesn't absorb it. Other than that, I still think these look very cute. This is a very flattering sandal with details that are not found across the board. It is very interesting how the shoes are fashionedfrom a single piece of lime wood (this is included in the brochure included with the shoes). Thank you to Amazon for carrying shoesfrom around the world that give consumers a choice besides Made In China!the Swedish hasbeens are a real hit with me, very comfortable and lovely color of leather.

First of all, let me start by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE HASBEENS! This was my second pair and I have nothing but great things to say about this brand, So comfortable and very cute! A little harder to walk in than my first pair (that had the medium heel) since there is obviously no bend in the forefoot when walking, but unless your walking long distances, theyre great! Always get compliments when I wear any of my Hasbeens :)They are cut slightly narrow, so if you have a wider foot like I do, size up one size. I wear a solid 9 in a regular shoe, but always buy a 10us/40eur in these. If you have ever worn Birkenstocks or Danskos, Id say the sizing is spot on with what you would purchase in those.Also, this price was a steal and a half!If you dont have a pair of Swedish Hasbeens yet, get yourself a pair ASAP!

I wonder if this pair was in a seconds run. It is very narrow, and I have narrow feet so that's saying a lot. It fits length wise but I am gonna have to spend about a month in thick socks getting the leather to soften and stretch. For comparison, I have the exact same pair in tan and did not have this issue. Other than that, great vibrant color, love them, just gonna have to work on them for a while.

I read all the reviews before purchasing, so I knew these would run small and be very stiff out of the box. Most people, and the company, recommend rubbing olive oil into the leather and wearing them in short bursts to help break them in. I used coconut oil and wore them without socks for 15 minutes twice a day for 2 days, then at church for 3 hours. No issues with discomfort or blisters. One review said that her ankle strap stretched quickly and was quite large. I did have to tighten my left ankle strap one hole tighter than the right after wearing it for about an hour.Read other's reviews about how to break them in and take your time before wearing them for a significant length of time...them they will be the best shoe you've ever worn.

Broke during second time wearing. I really loved these and assumed they would last years but during the second wearing one strap came completely out of the wood. So disappointed. Expected better quality.

These shoes arrived on Friday and they are perfect! I had been waiting forever to find my size on sale and was so excited to finally get them. As some others have posted, you will want to take a day or so to wear them in with socks or something. When I first tried them on, I could tell there was one spot that would cause blistering, so I put a bandaid on my skin in that spot and wore the shoes around. Yesterday was my second time wearing them, and I had them on from 9:00am to midnight and my feet didn't hurt a bit! I didn't even have to use a bandaid for that one spot anymore.Only other things to consider: I am a pretty solid size 6 but tees shoes are a teensy bit large on me. Not enough to notice while walking around though. Also, because they have such a solid sole, it took me a few hours to get "the walk" down without looking strange.Anyways, I love them and definitely recommend them :)

It was not in the product description that these are wooden soled sandals. It says "rubber soled" but they are only referring to the 1/4 inch piece on the bottom. I'll be Returning these.
