the way i have slept on this book -knowing full well i would love and adore it i just never was quite ready to read it and now having finished it, i’m just mad because olivier & drew were simply gorgeous ??? what is wrong with me. urgh.the awakenings of both of these men were written too perfection, it truly had all the feels of that self discovery and exploration of eachother and well i am an absolute sucker for that trope.as if i really need to say it but for me, august never ever misses with the mysterious, troubled, mad at the world and everyone in it type of man -drew was to die for. this angel deserved the whole m-fing world and i just wanted to protect him at all costs, he gave lonely sad boy and i just fell for him. instantly.olivier, my entitled, smug, delicious rich boy of manhattan had me in a chokehold. sorry but a rich boy of manhattan takes me by the heart every time -was I envisioning some sort of gossip girl aesthetic throughout reading this? absolutely i was. Olivier had me on my knees, i lived for every chapter of his! he had me feral, he had me cry laughing, he had me swooooooning like no one’s business. it was giving lonely rich boy meet lonely sad boy <3possessiveness? check. plot and character development? check. tension and chemistry? check. a lil found family? check. had me teared up and in my feels? check check check.five stars !!! i’m ready for book two now please k thnx byeeeeee

Olivier and Drew were such an unlikely couple, Ollie being your typical spoilt rich kid, who, confused by his feelings for the hot doorman, starts our taunting him rather than thinking harder about why he wants to mess with him.Drew is down on his luck, lonely, stuck in a job he doesn't really want to look after his family as he believes is his duty.It's crazy how the two eventually get together and hilarious to watch their journey as they stumble to find out how to be together (it's both their first time with guys) and thinking they're doing it wrong. They're so adorable and I love how their books ends.I also loved how they found their family in the unlikeliest of places and the friend Ollie builds with Elodie was so lovely to see and completely unexpected.Definitely recommend 👌

What an incredible read. Engaging, addictive, primal and raw, yet comforting. So incredibly sexy, with stunning character development. The plot? Blew my mind that something like this can work, but it did. An entitled but full of self doubt heir, a depressed doorman, one angsty gorgeous love story of self discovery in more ways than one. Loved every single page. And if this was made into a film, I would have been here for it. I’m still here for it.I think what did it for me what’s the gorgeous writing. August Jones is a new to me author and this book was so unexpectedly good, I could barely put it down. I’ll be coming back.This novel goes into the rare list of books that left me gasping. Sometimes you can’t quite tell why some books are quite as amazing, you just know when they are. Highly recommend. Hope this one day gets turned into an audio, even better - into a film. Congratulations to the author.

This book has been stuck in my kindle library for SO long. Why?? Idk ! Blame it on all the boring arcs I’ve been forced to do.This book was a breath of fresh air.I loved both these characters - loved their dynamic. Broke me and put me back together 💔 1st time reading this Author, I couldn't put it down, I was actually scared at one point there wasn't a HEA coming, but these beautiful boys captured my heart.

Totally loved this book, very hard to put down. The angst was hard, but it was very hot and very steamy. Definitely the most unconventional couple, but they fit so well together. Would definitely recommend.
