Lava Lamp The Beatles Lamp - Rubber Soul

As a massive Beatles fan and overgrown manchild who always wanted but never bought a lava lamp, this, especially at its reduces less than £20 was a no brainer. The lamp comes in a very well packaged and attractive tube box, itself well protected in a huge Amazon box, and is a piece of cake to set up.Simply unwrap all three parts, place the bulb, pop the glass lamp into the base and put the little hat on top!When first plugged in (and subsequently too) it will take a good hour to get warmed up enough to get the lava bubbling away so be patient. Also check the the metal filament is resting in the base of the lamp, otherwise it won't work as well.Once it gets going, it's a beautiful and relaxing thing to behold and the coloured glass enhances the effect no end.In short, a very well made item and will take pride of place with any Beatles fan.

The colours in these lava lamp are just amazing, I find it mesmerising. It takes a while before the wax is warm enough to start floating but it's worth the wait. The lamp gets very hot when it has been on for some time so it's important to be cautious - I wouldn't recommend it for people who have kids. Great present for a Beatles fan!

I thought this was an actual lava lamp. With oil floating up and down. Instead there are gold.stars. I love it though and its quite hypnotic watching them rise and fall. I got it at a great price too ( £12 odd) I was watching it for a while as the price rose and fell,grabbing it when it dropped dramatically. I'm glad I waited. It's smaller than I thought it would be but I think the measurements are in the description that I didn't read. Looks good too with the black and white design.

This was ordered as a gift, however I have opened it to have a little look at it. As another reviewer has said the spring coil on the yellow wax is pointing at the wrong angle...I don't think this should be visible but it is ( sideways). I briefly tried to get it to move so it is facing down by moving the lamp different ways but was unable to do so. I am sure with patience this can be achieved. I do not know what it is like when switched on...hopefully nice. I would certainly not pay the full price for ithis item but for under £20.00 it is a good little gift for any young Beatles fan (this is for an 8 year old).

Bought one, had to get them all. This Sgt Pepper version has white wax in a clear liquid that appears to change colour from white, to pink, to yellow, due to the outer glass of the bottle being graduate tinted.Some easy assembly is necessary but as that entails the lighting base (with card / felt bottom), the sealed bottle and the top. The assembly will take no more than half a minute. A bulb is included and the 5ft long lead has a switch midway.The lamp comes in a nice cardboard tube with Beatles graphics. You'll need to Stanley knife the tape around the end of the tube or risk tearing the tube. Note, that when removing lamp from the packing tube, the heating coil may be seen to be dislodged and trapped within the wax. This is usual and switching the assembled lamp on for about an hour will see the heating coil drop to the bottom.

Bought it as a Christmas present, but it never worked. The bulb was fine (tested it by itself) - I thought the UK-EU plug adapter I was using was causing the problem, so now I finally managed to get a different adapter and the lamp still doesn't work. The return window has long closed, so I'm stuck with this expensive paperweight. Should have returned it when I had the chance.

As it wont give half a star ill give it 5 for the look of the lava lamp. Just disappointed the bulb was damaged. Overall the lamp looks great

This is probably the best lava lamp I own and I have had a few over the years. The lamp is really bright and after a year it’s still going strong with no wax problems at all and the water is still clear even after about 6 hours use a day.
