Good
Great product, good price. Huge improvement over the textured pei plate.

These plates are some of the first upgrade recommendations in the 3d printing community. Mine is a backup, as my printer included one with my purchase. It works very well and everything sticks perfectly during printing, yet pops off with little effort once the print has finished and is cool.

This review is 24 hours after the printer arrived with about a total of about 5 hours of my time invested reading the downloaded use manual and following instructions... I went for the Pro because of the built in fans, case, and camera which are not in the basic 5M. The Black Friday price was more than buying a 5M plus the above pieces, but the fact that it was fully assembled out of the box drove me to spend the extra $$$ on the Pro. You have to create a Flashforge account to use the printer. The setup instructions are easy to follow and, after the internet connection, and 10 minute calibration, I was able to print the box in the printer memory. When a print is done, DO NOT HIT CONTINUE or it will start printing again and the CANCEL button takes a long time to work. Once I made that mistake, I ended up pulling the plug. I restarted the printer after reading that in the gear icon in the main menu, there is another icon which allows you to floor the plate. Luckily, nothing was damaged and I removed the box, cleaned the bed, then printed the included boat. It is a really nice boat with only faint lines using the .4 mm nozzle so I can see why this printer gets great reviews. Printing was quiet. With the printer on the floor in the dining room, I could barely hear it in the family room. (I originally had it on the dining room table but the table shook so much during a print, I was scared and put the printer on the floor where it is stable.) Trying to print from an existing 3d file was a bit more work to download software to my windows portable. I initially loaded the Orca-Flashforge_1.3.1 from the Pro download page, then noticed that there was 1.5.1 on the generic Flashforge download page so I installed that. Once I started 1.5.1, it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to 1.6.0 but that was the last update! I downloaded a .stl model from Thingverse, sliced it, selected the printer, sent the file to the printer, and printed a little B2 bomber. The embedded maker in Orca-Flashforge let me turn on the camera and watch the print. (There is an icon next to the filament usage to see the camera on Maker on an Iphone.) I was impressed that I was just able to click what seemed to make sense in Orca-Flashforge, and got a downloaded model to slice and print without RTFMing anything other than the instructions in the 5M Pro user manual and the Pro download page. Now to learn a CAD program and design something!!!!

Flashforge, Pls fix this Smooth PEI plate! Phenomenal prints, when it doesn’t bubble. This will be the second replacement plate returned in one months time. Continues to bubble after 3-4 prints. Bed temp within range (52-55) have never exceeded 60 degrees and I don’t touch the plate nor bend the plate until it has cooled. Contacted Flashforge customer service with attached picture and their response, did you remove the film? SMH. Going to try one more time (3rd times a charm I hope) or I will be purchasing next plate from another manufacturer. I can’t be the only one experiencing this rather annoying issue
