You Don't Know Me
Russell Watson continues to amaze me. This is first album since the removal of his brain tumor, and it is a great one. You Don't Know Me is a standard and Russell leaves his mark on it. To me it is the best cut on the CD.Most singers do one thing well, Russell does three things well, Classical, Rock, and now Jazz. There are three songs I feel would have been best left off, Born Free, It Was a Very Good Year, and To All the Girls I,ve Known Before, these have always been trite songs to me but he does them well. Most of the songs on this CD are Frank Sinatra gems (Summer Wind, It Was A Very Good Year, etc. and while there will never be another Sinatra Russell does them really good. There is a Tony Bennett gem in it also, the place where he left his heart and I left mine.Russell takes chances with a song, something Michael Buble used to do, without that chance taking attitude the music is canned and boring.Russell has a great and unique gift. I hope to be hearing more of this caliber of CDs from him in the future.GREAT JOB RUSSELL

A truly superb album
An absolutely wonderful album by a man with an extraordinary voice. Yes, many of these songs are associated with Sinatra, but Watson’s beautiful voice makes them no less enjoyable. Put your this cd in your player, sit back and close your eyes, and spend an hour listening to pure magic.

good...not outstanding
while i think the choice of songs in this CD is good, i feel this is not the russell i have known. his voice is ok , the diction allright ...but the range , that wonderful, powerful range is simply not there . He sounds like any other crooner these days. I rated it 4 stars as the arrangements are quite good and the voice is acceptable...regretfully it is not the russell we have known for songs like "Barcelona" or "nesun dorma"...sorry.

different, but just as fantastic as ever!!
Who would have thought that he would select these songs for his latest album? But he did and its incredible!! Again, he continues to amaze! Many of these are Frank Sinatra songs. This would be professional suicide for anyone not super-human, yet he pulls it off and more. What kind of idiot would try to impress the world by singing songs Frank Sinatra is famous for?? Who could measure up?? Not only did he measure up, he shattered the standard!! This is beautiful music. His voice has achieved a new tenor. You are going to love this disc. It's expensive but worth it!!

Woohoo!
Yeah, this guy can sing! I've been a fan of Frank Sinatra for years. I was born too late to hear the great American Song Book live, but I love the "reruns". Russell Watson's treatment of these great songs is impeccable, fresh, clean, and exciting to hear. The arrangements are stellar. Maybe even better than the originals. There wasn't a single tune that I didn't like, and most of them I loved! If you like the "old songs" from the 40's and 50's, you'll love this CD.

I Love You Russell
This CD is terrific. It's light and very easy to listen to. He makes my day as I vacuum around the house singing along. I turn it up load and just enjoy the songs.

Really uplifting
I like how he sings many of the songs SInatra sang, but this man Russell has 1,0000 times the talent Sinatra thought he had.. Russell has operatic range and has a lively sense of charm.

That's Life ~ Russell Watson
For all fans that want more Russell Watson - THIS IS IT. A break from his classical leanings, Russell Watson is channeling Frank Sinatra (recorded at the Hollywood capital records studio - no less)but in his own way with his strong and powerful voice. Wow - this album is on contrant replay on my CD player!

Good Music Sung Well
I have been a fan of Russell Watson since his first album "The Voice, and I have been lucky enough to see him perform live twice and to be able to have a chat with him. Through the years due to his illness his voice has changed a lot, but it is still so relaxing and a pleasure to listen to while doing my sewing. This CD has a few of the songs from various other albums recorded by Russell but none the less pleasurable for this. His range from operatic to songs from stage musicals to film themes is incredible and he puts so much feeling into his singing. I would recommend this album to anyone who appreciates good musical sung well.

That,s life by Russell
This is a fantastic cd at times when you are listening to it you completed forget that it is not Russell Watson and just accept that you are listening to frank Sinatra , and especially the matt Munro ( born free) it is also nice to be able to not have Live on the cover. As you find you are buying the same same concert same songs with a different title.

Nothing to write home about
He has jumpred on the 'standards' band wagon like evry other singer who followed Rod Stewart and his American Songbook but it is a blah album. One or two tracks are nice but I wouldn't call this one of his bst efforts.

Easy listening
I already had this and bought it as a gift for a friend who likes easy listening. Although she didn't have any Russell Watson music she likes this and listens to it a lot.
